  Inner Essence Spa and Wellness Center envisions, "a truly organic and natural place where health and beauty complement one another." The spa has a feng-shui-inspired design with neutral accents, and a waterfall in the waiting area with music playing throughout the facility. There are six treatment rooms including a private couple's massage room, separate changing rooms, and separate showers and personal lockers. Services include a variety of massage modalities, ashiatsu Oriental bar therapy, acupressure (shiatsu), acupuncture therapies, energy healing, raindrop therapy, ultrasonic facials with DermaSound Plus, cellulite treatments, manicures and pedicures, Shellac Manicures and Pedicures, full-body waxing, and mineral makeup application. An array of organic treatments such as body wraps, peels, and body scrubs are also available. The spa hosts events such as bridal parties and mom and dad's nights out.

Owner of Inner Essence, Licensed Massage Therapist for 10 years specializing in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Heated Stone, Prenatal, Myofacial Release, Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, Trigger Point, Reflexology, and Sports Massage. Also an Energy Medicine Practitioner for 5 years, as well as a B.S in Exercise Science, Shana is always available for a wide range of needs.

Irena

Originally from the Ukraine, Irena was certified as an esthetician at Brio Academy in Fairfield and has been practicing skin care since 2006. She gives each facial a special European twist, and is educated in the Eminence organic skincare line, like organic skincare, and Dermalogica. Irena also does wonderful Body Treatments, Manicures, Pedicures, full body waxing, and speaks Ukrainian, Russian and Polish.

Roberta

Manager at Inner Essence, Roberta, is the friendly face we see when we come through the door, as well as voice when you call in for an appointment or information. The “Mother Hen” of the spa, Roberta is there to make sure everyone’s needs are met, that you are comfortable, and have everything you need when you visit.

Nina

Originally from Russia, Nina has been in the US for 15 years. Certified as an aesthetician at the Institute of Aesthetic Arts & Sciences in Southbury, she has been practicing skin care for over 20 years. Nina is educated in the Eminence organic skincare line, Yonka skincare, and Dermalogica. Nina also does wonderful body treatments, manicures, pedicures, full body waxing (for both men and women), and speaks Russian and English.

Leanne

A graduate from the Connecticut center for massage therapy has been a licensed Massage Therapist for 10 years, specializing in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Heated Stone, Prenatal, Sports, Trigger point, and Thai massage. Also a master at full body waxing, & professional Manicures and Pedicures.

Wendy

A Licensed Massage Therapist for 17 years, As well as a Holistic health & nutritional counselor, Yoga and Middle Eastern dancer and modern Improvisational dancer. Provides a great combination of Cross fiber friction, Myofacial release, Deep Tissue, Sports, Swedish, and stretching techniques into her massage. Also practices some alternative healing techniques such as Gua Sha, Cupping, Yoga Therapy, and traditional Thai Massage.

Felisa

A licensed Massage Therapist for 7 years. Having been raised in the Philippines, holistic and natural healing methods are second nature to her. Felisa also completed a Massage Therapy program in Madrid Spain, as well as in Connecticut, and her diverse techniques are heavenly to receive. Specialties include, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Heated Stone, Aromatherapy skills, Prenatal, And Swedish Massages. Felisa is also bilingual (English and Spanish).

Heidi

Graduated from The Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Dec. 2004, and has been licensed since March 2005. The modalities she practices include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Heated Stone, Sports, and Prenatal Massage. Her previous experience as a personal trainer has helped her in her massage practice. Heidi believes that everyone should have the chance to experience massage and really enjoys helping people let go of everyday stresses and strain.

Maricelli

A licensed Massage Therapist for 5 years and has been at Inner Essence for 4 of those years. Maricelli specializes in Deep, Trigger Point and Sports Massages, including stretching. She also is proficient at Swedish, Heated Stone, Prenatal, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Body Treatments, Manicures and Pedicures. Maricelli is also a Licensed Practical Nurse, Has Certifications in Nurses Aid, Business Management, CPR and First Aid, and is bilingual (English and Spanish).

Gail

Gail graduated from CT center for massage therapy in 2003. Her massages are customized to meet her clients’ needs. She specializes in Deep Tissue, Swedish, Sport and Pre-Natal massage. She has additional training for heated stone, Thai Massage, Acu-Yoga as well as Body treatments. She incorporates essential oils into her massages to enhance your relaxation.

Linda

A certified esthetician in the state of CT from the Academy Di Capelli in 2009. Some of the services Linda specializes in are facials, waxing, makeup applications, and various antiaging treatments. Linda has worked with many high end cosmetic and skin care lines, including brands such as Dermalogica, Eminence, Estee Lauder, Bio Elements and Caudalie. Linda enjoys giving clients a personalized approach to make them feel at ease while helping them achieve their skin care goals.

Emily

Emily works at Inner Essence Spa doing makeup, nails and reception. She is a licensed cosmetologist and is in the process of becoming a RN. School and work are very important to Emily and she loves to work with people.

Shannon

Shannon works at Inner Essence Spa doing IT work and assisting clients both over the phone and as they come in to the spa. Shannon loves to help people and works to make sure your visit goes smoothly.
