I had given both of my friends certificates to "Reflections" since we love spas and have been to many in many different places, and we live in NJ. Upon our arrival the girls at the desk just asked us our names and gave us our cards and keys to a locker and said we could walk thru the door and find our locker by the number, NEVER took us in - NEVER showed us where the waiting area was, the showers, the sauna, nothing. So we proceeded to go to the locker, change and walked in thru the door that we figured would take us to the waiting room, well it was full so we walked thru to the other room and sat in the chairs - when my esthetician came thru calling my name I said "oh in here" she proceeded to tell me that this was the relaxation room and not the waiting room. I told her we wouldn't have known that because NO ONE told us or walked us thru the spa. The facial was wonderful that was the one saving grace. The rest of the experience was just terrible, and others were complaining also. They really need to get their act together. The girls at the front desk looked pretty and that was it. My friend asked the girl about one of the products and she couldn't even answer her, she had no clue how the product was to be used.

As it is the cost of a spa is a lot not to mention tax and tip. This spa is different from most and visually stimulating. But very dark and almost cave like. The relaxation area is very tiny with limited places to sit. The only thing I can think of is it is over priced since it is at a resort. I have had several of the services and not ONE is worth the cost.

I recently visited this place with my best friend and had an amazing time! The massage I had was a 100 minute one and it was worth every penny. The therapist did a great job! The facility itself is beautiful and I would like to come back with my husband to have a weekend getaway. I definetly recommend getting a treatment here and I will come back.

Decided to try a new spa..wish I saved my money and didn't! Despite some of the negative reviews (which were actually true for the most part!), I tried a massage here.
The massage tech was a nice person, but the massage was bad. I could have rubbed oil/lotion on myself! She really didn't do much more than apply oil/lotion on me. There was very little massage. The room was just that...a room. There was barely anything in it to make you feel comfortable/relaxed. The only plus was the warmed massage table. The staff should be taught to whisper/keep their voices down..it was disturbing during my service.
As for the spa, the girl at the front desk was very nice and I had an initial good impression when I walked in. The locker room lacked the basics so bring your own hair styling products. When entering the lounge area, it was a cave type atmosphere with low ceilings. The beverage/snack area had stale mini pastries with no flavor. This place is very overpriced!!
Lesson learned..better to stick with the BEST spa in the area in Morris Plains on Rt.10!!

Although the spa is visually stimulating and is not exactly the "Everyday" spa atmosphere. The treatments were nothing extraordinary but not bad. The uniqueness of the amenities are what makes this spa work. The services are extremely OVER PRICED.

I would definitely recommend this spa! Only complaint was that the staff could have been a bit more helpful or informative. It was my sister's first time at a spa & even the rest of us were not familiar with some of the amenities & they didn't take time to "show us the ropes" so to speak, or ask if we were familiar. But everything else was top notch & the most relaxing atmosphere!!

The spa is pretty and they offer champagne and truffles, but the waiting area is tiny and uncomfortable. We had to stand to wait for our service. The locker room is the same - tight and not very well equipped. Very few showers, not much space to dress and apply makeup. There is really no "relaxation room", so once your treatment is over you have to leave right away.
That said, I have been there more than once and during the week it's more comfortable because it's less crowded. The services are good and professional and the spa is clean. If you stay at the resort you can use the Biosphere pool and that allows you a place to relax after your treatment. Overall, a good spa in a beautiful resort.

WORST SPA EXPERIENCE EVER!

The place is noisy and over decorated. The receptionist lack experience and a little rude. The robes they provide were ripped, hard to the skin (ever heard of fabric softener) and needed to be replaced. The massage rooms are tiny which made it hard for the therapist to move around quietly and the massage bed they had me lay on creeked throughout my treatment OMG. I have to give a little credit to my therapist, she was nice BUT the massage was mediocre at best. I recommend buying a brookstone massager before coming to Reflection spa. Don't go people, it's not worth it!

Absolute worst

1.00 out of 5 stars
The worst. First of all, be aware that bookings are made by a centralized reservation office. The address I was given was to the wrong building! I arrived early for my appointment, but the long wait at the reception area and the drive to the correct address made me late for my appointment. I waited another 20 minutes at the reception, where a great deal of attention and money was put into its modern design. The ceiling, with hand strung crystals, and the walls, covered with blood red sculptural stained glass created a very unspalike phenomenon: NOISE! Conversations pinged back and forth, echoing repeatedly. Speaking to the receptionists was an exercise in repeated "excuse me's". The changing room was cramped. The robe, stiff & old with missing belt loops. Throughout the barely-there massage by an inexperienced therapist, I could hear footsteps on tile floors, conversations down the hall, the screeching of the curtains the therapist kept parting to get hot towels, and the clicking massage table. The music was loud, presumably to drown the ambient noise. My massage was cut very short because I was "late". This is what happens when the focus is on design and not on service. You're better off at home with a massager from Brookstone.

I live right in Vernon, and recently during the October snow storm, my husband and I had planned a night out together without our toddler. We began the evening at Reflections for a couples massage. This was our first time there...we have both been to Minerals Spa though. WOW, I love Minerals, but Reflections is SOO uch better - higher standards in all areas. LOVE LOVE LOVE the foot soak with champhange afterwards. The whole experience was wonderful! I am now planning for a girl friend of mine and I to have a ladies day in the New Year at Reflections!!

Romantic Weekend Getaway

5.00 out of 5 stars
My fiance and I stayed here for the weekend Sept 2011, since the sister hotel was hosting Oktoberfest. I definitely recommend staying in one of the suites at Grand Cascades Lodge--get ready to be spoiled! We purchased a "Spa & Stay package." We both enjoyed a couples sports massage, and following that, I had a Chai-Soy Detoxifying Facial, which was divine. They had quite an interesting variety of facials available. There were 2 lounges which offered complementary chocolates, small pastries filled with chocolate mousse & vanilla pistachio, water to which some type of fruit antioxidant "serums" could be added, & a variety of teas. After your treatments, you get a foot soak & a free glass of champagne! I also felt like a kid again in the Biosphere complex, since it has a long windy slide that even the adults can "ride." The restaurants, wine cellar tour, and Sunday Hike rounded out our experience. I am definitely going back!

Pretty spa with enthusiastic personnel.
From Monday to Thursday if you book a treatment for a minimum of $100 you can use the biosphere pool complex. This is an enclosed free-form pool with plants and lounges. There is also a sauna, steam room and hot pool. There is an attached snack bar for water, drinks, light meals.
I love the pool complex!
On the whole a good spa experience. I enjoyed an "Espresso-Limon" body treatment that left me feeling wonderful.
I plan to visit here again.

Beautiful spa but,my service was fair which surprised me.I recieved a large gift cert.for my b.day and use a little for just a fair massage. They didn't provide lotions, after showering,no sign of mouth-wash,or toothbrushes.~~I have been to many spa's and this would be the 1st. that didn't provide nessasary items,I do understand it is a small area as far as the showers go. but after I opened 3 unmarked doors I was able to find the bathroom ..that's just bazzar not to have a sign on the door. When I was paying the young girl didn't even ask "did you enjoy your services?" "how was your day"now that is just spa 101 when getting ready to head out.I asked if the manager was available and she said I am why?? I began to give a few polite suggestion, but she was very snappy and had a quick answer and is not an asset to the beautful spa you have. She quickly took 10% off my bill which I wasn't looking for and was sarcastice after that.My girlfriend just looked in shock and couldn't believe how the unprofessional spoke.I will try the spa again but the young girl on1/28/11 in the a.m. is definetly not manager material for your company she was very rude and unprofessional. It is hard to find good employees but they should be interviewed properly

I chose Reflections since I have been to Elements and consider it to be one of the best spa's I have ever visited.
Overall, I had a lovely experience. The staff is superb. I was pleasantly surprised at the "maturity" of the young front desk and general staff. They were super helpful, energetic and eager to please.
I have been saving my Spa Finder gift certificates so that I could have more than one treatment as a real treat to myself so I booked a facial and a massage back to back.
My facial (given by Shay) was amazing and she gives the best facial I've ever had. She is also very nice.
My only complaint is that there were so many clients that day that the waiting area and the "foot soak" area were like a loud gym locker room.
Usually people speak in soft voices, to enhance the spa experience, but there were several groups of people and they were very bouistrous on top of that,
the waiting area, which in most spa's is quiet and out of the way, felt like a main with a steady flow of people. After my treatments, I went to the foot soak area where I planned on relaxing and enjoying my champagne, but again, the volume and crowd chased me off the the locker room for a shower. Other than that it was lovely.

This spa and 2 night stay with my girlfriends was super! Really love it all. I would only comment that on the Sat we were there - no nail treatments were offered. It is such a beautiful place - it is too bad the gym cannot have a window facing the great views. Also wish somewhat we could get to the pool easier than trapsing thru the lobby / main floor in our robes. The extra long massage was superb! Our extra large suite was beyond amazing! GO if you have the chance!

Visited the Reflections spa with my best friend of 50 years and we loved it! Our appointments for facials/massages were at 10 a.m. and noon, and it was suggested we arrive an hour early to enjoy the steam room and lounge. So glad we did. It was wonderful just being in such a quiet, relaxing atmosphere with calming 'spa' music and beautiful surroundings. The one hour facial was fantastic, the best I've ever had and I was pleasantly surprised that there is no pressure to purchase facial products. My friend said her massage was the best ever. Mine was so-so, but I've never been comfortable having a total stranger manipulating my flabby old body. In the hour between appointments, the foot soak room is really relaxing, so much so that we took a 2nd footsoak after our last appointment. The spa provides complimentary truffles, mini-pastries, anti-oxidant drops and ice water, herb teas and champagne. My friend and I easily drank a bottle if champagne between us, but we were there for a day of pampering and relaxation. Only problem is that such a great spa experience might be addicting!

I took my sister to Reflections for her birthday. The waiting area was a little small, but only my sister and I were in there at the time so it wasn't a problem for us. I had a body scrub treatment that was very nice. The treatment bed was heated which was extra relaxing. The technician was pleasant, quiet, and did a good job. However, I did not receive the scalp massage that was indicated in the description of my service. Another thing that would have made the treatment better would have been a vichy shower rinse instead of having to get up and go into a shower stall to rinse off. Overall, though, the treatment was enjoyable. After our treatments, we got to soak our feet as long as we liked in this gorgeous room with water coming down the walls and crystals on the ceiling. That added greatly to our spa experience. We had a wonderful time at Reflections and want to go back.

This spa is over priced but a wonderful experience. The relaxation/ waiting area prior to your appointment is very tiny. Also limited to chocolate truffles, tea, and water. However, they do offer champagne and 3 different antioxidant drops for your tea. Which is a delightful perk. I have attended the spa a few different times and each time the technicians were very attentive. I would recommend this spa if you can spare the cash. Other wise, their are many other spas out there to give the same service, just maybe not the same visual effect!

I have had the pleasure of going to both spas on the Crystal Springs property (Minerals spa and Reflections Spa). Both spas have a beautiful ambience and excellent service. Reflections is more updated and has an overall holistic feel and ambience. The relaxation room before the treatment was wonderful; providing delicious pastries, water, selections of tea, and even champagne. My husband and I had a great couples massage and were then led to the foot spa for as long as we pleased.
Overall GREAT experience at the Reflection spa.

This place is truly amazing! It's really a hop skip and a jump from the metropolitan area. The grounds are beautiful the staff attentive. Most of all I came for the spa experience as I had a friend who had visited not to long ago and said I must get a facial and to ask for Shay if available. When I entered the treatment room and slipped in between the pre-warmed sheets it was heaven! And the skin care therapist, Shay was incredible! Best facial I ever had! I would recommend her and the stay at this place. Thanks for a great experience!
