The three-story Spa at Stein Eriksen Lodge has 16 treatment rooms and an inviting European-style design, complemented by cedar, sage and pine accents throughout. Numerous treatments, some of them alpine-inspired to soothe the effects of the setting’s high altitude and arid climate and calm tired muscles after a day outdoors, celebrate Epicuren, Eminence and locally crafted Salt of the Earth products. Signature staples include the Great Salt Stone Therapy, an 80-minute ritual utilizing warm, polished salt stones that release negative ions to purify skin.
The spa experience continues after treatment, as spa-goers are encouraged to use the spa’s sauna, steam room, whirlpool or cold plunge, found in both the men’s and women’s locker rooms. Relaxation rooms, one of which couples can reserve, are appointed with romantic fireplaces; nutritious spa cuisine is also available.

Rooms & Dining
Interiors of the 112 guest rooms and 68 suites vary in decor and architecture, though all are graciously appointed with custom furnishings and artwork, flat-screen TVs, jetted bathtubs with separate showers and beds trimmed in plush comforters and down pillows. Amenities such as twice-daily maid/turndown services, complimentary wireless Internet access, daily newspapers and Molton Brown products help to create a comfortable respite. Select accommodations feature hot tubs, balconies and gas or electric stone fireplaces; suites come with full European kitchens.
At the Forbes Four Star-rated and Santé-awarded Glitretind restaurant, guests dine on seasonal creations such as pan seared halibut and Berkshire pork tenderloin by executive chef Zane Holmquist. A sommelier is close by to recommend wine pairings with dishes.
Lighter but just as tantalizing après and dinner menus can be enjoyed at the laidback Troll Hallen restaurant lounge, and spa cuisine is served poolside or at the spa. Both indoor and outdoor dining areas overlook phenomenal views of the surrounding mountain landscape.
Twenty-four hour in-room dining and private dining venues are also available.
