Filled with natural light and adorned with water fountains, Spa Gaucin is located in the center of the resort and caters to couples. In addition to 24 treatment rooms, it has four couple's suites with marble fireplaces, three private dual whirlpool baths, and a variety of couple's packages. Continuing the resort's Tuscan theme, the Mediterranean Massage utilizes Chardonnay massage oil.

A la carte treatments range from the Signature Mediterranean Massages, which can be customized to include deep muscle work, coastal stone, stretching and reflexology ---or all four of these options -- to the organic and hydrating Pristine Waters Facial. The lower level of Spa Gaucin boasts an outdoor lap pool with underwater music, a movement studio with strap yoga wall, and the Fitness Center features Precor cardio and strength equipment, StarTrac e-spinners, and Technogym strength equipment. Daily fitness classes like the Scenic Bluff Trail Hike and Yoga Rocks! are complimentary to spa and hotel guests.

Activities

Spa Gaucin's group fitness classes are popular among resort and spa guests. Yoga Wall, Central Core, and Beach Cardio Runs are on the schedule as well as guided hikes to the coastal bluffs. Surfing lessons are available via the resort's "Surf Butler" team, or guests can make a splash in the surf swimming, sea kayaking, fishing and paddle boating. There are also three swimming pools on site; for land dwellers, there are ample shopping and biking opportunities, along with eight on-property tennis courts. Monarch Beach Golf Links, an 18-hole championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., plays to a par 70 atop dramatic bluffs alongside the ocean.

Had a great weekend at the St Regis Hotel and had the luxury of going to this spa. The women's locker room and sauna/steam/whirlpool area was on the smaller size but overall very pleasant. Only did a 1 hour massage and it was great. Ate at the small cafe near the workout facilities and the food was really good. I wish I would have had time to take more advantage of the workout room, golf and outdoor pools but time did not allow. I would certainly return the next time I am back in So Cal.

This is one of my favorite spas - the location is gorgeous and the staff so friendly. I could have spent the whole day taking advantage of the facilities, especially the steam room and the private spa pool. My therapist was excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the post-treatment glass of wine!

I spent a day at Spa Gaucin recently and had the most amazing time!! I took one of the yoga classes and loved the instuctor. Then I spent some time in the steam room and hot tub before my massage.I loved my couples massage with my husband, we got to spend time together in the bath tub with wine and grapes. It was so romantic!! I would love to visit again!!
