Service Quality Has Really DeclinedBy S | January 12, 2013
I'd been going to Valencia for the past year. They had always had good customer service until recently. My last appointment was booked with a specific female massage therapist (whom I had specifically requested). She apparently left Valencia and my appointment was moved to a male therapist without even as much as a phone call or email to me to to ask if that would be okay with me. Additionally, they moved locations but did not inform their clients so naturally I drove around looking for them in their old location. Talk about poor customer service and retention.

Response from Valencia Day Spa & Therapy Center
We apologize for any inconvenience that S has experienced. An email was sent out to all clients to their email address on file notifying them of the change in location across the parking lot) in November - Two months prior to S's next scheduled appointment. An appointment reminder email is automatically sent to each client 48 hours prior to their scheduled appointment containing Valencia's current address. Regarding the change in therapist: The female therapist that S had been seeing was no longer working at Valencia. An attempt was made to contact each client originally scheduled with that therapist via direct phone calls at the phone number on record. A voice mail was also left with each client if Valencia was not able to speak with that client at the time. When S showed up for her appointment, we explained the situation to her and she decided not to accept services with the male therapist. Even though the spa has a cancellation policy, S was not charged for any services that day considering the circumstances. Once again, Valencia apologizes to S for any miscommunication and inconvenience.

The atmosphere is inviting and warm with a knowledge staff. Michelle my therapist was incredible. We discussed my concerns and she tailored the visit to my needs. Sara was a delight and thoroughly enjoyed my pedicure. I will be back. I am so excited to have found such a great spa in my own backyard....

My Esthetician Nancy is AMAZING!! She specializes in Acne Treatments, and has proved a phenomenal partner in clearing up my skin! I have been to dermatologists for the past 15 years and have never gotten the care I receive here. Nancy makes sure every single question I have each visit is answered, and is always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are very warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was so impressed with the progress I am making after just three visits! I would recommend this facility to any of my friends and have already gotten several coworkers interested in using this location!!

I just left from my first visit to Valencia after receiving an amazing facial from Nancy. She was great from beginning to end and I really loved the head and neck massage too! Thank you Nancy for leaving my face clean and my mind relaxed. See you next month for a microdermabrasion and massage. I can't wait!

I had a 90 minute massage at Valencia spa and it was absolutely wonderful. Great prices too. They dont' overcharge you like the hotels and resorts do.

Valencia Day Spa is an intimate and quiet haven where you never feel rushed and the personnel have amazing expertise! Michelle is a wonderful busines owner and very accomodating. I've been going since I moved to Frisco in April of last year, and have recommended it to all my friends!

I had a wonderful massage from Julian and a wonderful time getting to know her. I will defiantly be back and I 100% recommend her to any one who is wanting a massage with some one who actually knows what there doing. I have a bulging disc in my lower back, and she had great knowledge about how to help my back. I felt great upon leaving the salon.

My appointment with Rini on June 21st for a waxing job was awesome! This was my first waxing experience and of course I was nervous. Rini was gentle and kind and continued to chat with me to put my mind off the pain (yes, it was painful but only temporary). Overall, I had a good experience and would definitely come back to see her..thanks Rini..

I have been going to Rinni at Valencia for three years now, and am always impressed with her gentle, but very thorough expertise in dealing with my skin. Unlike many aestheticians, Rinni is able to completely cleanse your skin and troubleshoot problem areas without leaving you wanting to hide for the rest of the day, due to a red complexion.
Rinni's relaxing demeanor is a welcome response to the hectic pace that we all want to get away from...I'll be back soon!

My friend found this spa online, so we were not overly certain of what we were going to get. But we were all very pleasantly surprised! I had a facial with Rini. She was amazing. The products all felt good to my skin and had a mild, calming fragrance. Rini's touch was just right and very relaxing. My friends really enjoyed their massages, as well. As a Day Spa, it was just right. I will go back...and add a massage, too!

... but the gossiping and chatter at the front desk didn't help to put me in a relaxing mood right before my service. I received a gift certificate for Christmas to Valencia. There is only one place that I have ever gone that I would spend my own hard earned money, and unfortunately this is not it. I would go back again, if it were a gift.

Valencia was set up at an event performing chair massage. It had been so long since I had a massage. Those 10 minutes of heaven caused me to make an appoinmtent at their location. The spa is lovely and warm. The massage tables there are heated! I can not wait for my next service.

My friend and I visited the spa after running the Texas Half Marathon and had the "Platinum Package". It was the best spa day I have ever had in my life and we for sure will be going back next year when we race again. Michelle took care of everything and all the staff were awesome at the services they each provided. We highly recommend the Valencia Day Spa to everyone!

I've been going to Valencia for more than a year! Michelle, the owner, is fantastic and does everything to make each experience relaxing and wonderful. I always feel so valued when I go there - not being rushed in and out, in a hurry for the next client. The therapist always talks to me before and after my massage or service - and the service LASTS the WHOLE time - you don't lose out on massage minutes for "changing time" or whatever those chains call it.
Valencia is smaller and more intimate and everything about it is relaxing and slow-paced. I've had more than 12 massages there and my sister had a prenatal massage, and every time has been amazing!
I would HIGHLY recommend Valencia (especially Michelle) as a spa where you get more than your money's worth and are always treated as a valuable client!

Every time I go to Valencia Day Spa, I feel completely understood in what I need. Michelle is extremely knowledgeable in this field and communicates very well. Her care and consideration for the overall well-being of her clients can not be outdone. I highly recommend Valencia Day spa for just the basic massage for relaxation or more in depth treatment of pain. My hip and back have improved tremendously by my going there.

I scheduled a "spa day" for my husband and my 10th anniversary with another spa in Frisco...only to call 5 days before to confirm everything (had 90 minute massages couples scheduled along with 60 minute facials, catered lunch, jacuzzi, roses, body polishes and mani/pedis (around 5-6 hours)) only to find out the spa had changed everything...so I cancelled with them and called Michelle in desparation and she was wonderful...and rescued my planned Spa day with my husband. The facials were great and the massage was wonderful...Michelle even had chocolate covered strawberries and a yummy chocolate cake brought in as a treat (and wine) in between our massages, facials and body scrubs!

Wow! Valencia Day Spa offers great service for all things pampering - massage, facials, nail care (holistic at that!) lypossage and even eyelash extensions!
I've gone several times to their location in Frisco, TX and the lypossage results are fantastic. The staff is wonderful and caring.
Last time I treated myself to an organic facial and natural nail care and got a gift certificate for Botox for mom!
