I purchased a voucher for Laser Hair Removal at Basset Spa through Dealfind. I am not sure who the scammer is, Bassett Spa or Dealfind because they refuse to honor my voucher and Dealfind won't re-imburse my money. I came into the spa to redeem the voucher a year after I purchased it, (I didn't need it before then), the voucher clearly indicates No Expiry Date and I was told its no longer valid. The voucher clearly indicates no Expiry Date. I will never visit this Spa, the owner is not very friendly either.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
The owner does all the services and I have found her to be very unfriendly. It was a Groupon deal that was misrepresented, so when questioned her response was "how am I supposed to make any money?" The treatments that I got were quick and the results reflected exactly that. Stay away even if it is cheap, because in this case you get what you pay for.

I came to this Spa last week and it was a nice relaxing time. The facial that i got was well worth my money and professional. The aesthetician was very nice to me when i first walked into the Spa offering me tea or coffee, you will be seeing me back very soon. Thank you

Nice place, but maybe not for everyone
I had a manicure and pedicure at Bassett Spa from a woman I believe is the owner. This day spa is has nice, if plain, atmosphere, and it's super clean and well-kept. The aesthetician was a very nice woman, but - and this is where I have reservations - opinionated. She was the only one working during my mani/pedi, so there were a few interruptions so she could answer the phone or door... but the spa won't keep many magazines because, as she said, "they focus on the relaxation." I understand the sentiment, but the interruptions were certainly less than relaxing! Personally, I'm fine with some conversation, but I like to sit back and read or zone out during a spa treatment, and, and being alone, I felt like I needed to chit-chat and was self-conscious. Overall, I found it difficult to relax and enjoy because I had to talk, and the conversation was a bit uncomfortable... and I got bored. Yes, bored. I think that the aesthetician's non-nonsense personality and slow work would suit many people, but it wasn't for me. My nails were ok but not the best - no driers, so I ended up with some glitches, and one of my fingernails was poorly shaped. She used lots of oil and it was pretty messy! Finally, the massage chairs were uncomfortable.

Bassett spa is such a treat! From the outside, you wouldn't expect the oasis inside. The treatments are top notch (like what you'd expect from a downtown spa), the staff are friendly and professional. I've used the spa for laser hair, spot removal, facials, pedicures, massage, and even a fantastic hair cut! Great for east enders, but worth the drive even if you're not.. Great find!
