About Lugger Hotel, The
Tucked in an inlet along the water's edge in the charming fishing village of Portloe and surrounded by dramatic cliffs and headlands, The Lugger Hotel is an inviting seaside hideaway for guests looking for relaxation and seclusion.
The 17th-century inn, once the haunt of local smugglers because of its near invisibility from the sea, has been renovated with modern-day amenities while maintaining its old-world appeal.
The hotel's 22 guest rooms and spa are situated in a collection of buildings that include not only the inn but quaint stone fishermen's cottages. The property boasts an award-winning restaurant serving fresh seafood. Many terraces and patios welcome guests to sit and sip evening drinks while enjoying views of the Portloe Harbour.
