About Spa at Willow Bend, The
The Spa at Willow Bend is an expansive facility with more than 5,000 square feet of space and 15 treatment rooms. Spa interiors are modern and designed to resemble an Asian retreat with bamboo, candles, and even a kimono on the wall in the reception area. The spa's goal is to offer clients quiet meditation, revitalization, rejuvenation, relaxation, and wellness.
Services combine ancient Asian techniques with modern spa practices and include massages, body treatments, wraps, hydrotherapy, facials, hand and nail care, foot rituals, waxing, and spray tanning. Men's and teen treatments are offered as are laser services such as skin resurfacing, photofacial therapy, skin tightening, hair removal, vein and acne treatments, and tattoo removal. Products used during treatments include SkinMedica, Actifirm, Intraceuticals, Fake Bake, Farmhouse Fresh, Obagi, Clarisonic, and Alessandro.
Clients can indulge in some of the spa's signature offerings including the chi-swe massage, which combines Occidental and Oriental techniques such as Chinese, shiatsu, trigger point, pressure point, deep-tissue, therapeutic, lymph drainage, reflexology, and aromatherapy and seasonal body wraps that incorporate ingredients such as chocolate and strawberries. The spa's signature De-stress treatment features a 60-minute massage, 30-minute body scrub, and a 30-minute mineral salt bath.
Staff members are trained in Eastern and Western spa practices and include a laser technician, lead aesthetician, lead massage therapist, and a lead nail specialist. The staff speaks English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. Medical procedures including plastic surgery, Botox®, and injectable fillers such as Restylane® and Perlane® are performed by Dr. Samuel Lam. I have been going to Cathy Callahan for awhile now and absolutely Love her! She does deep tissue massage on me but not where I'm in pain. She also does a little of reflexology along with each massage. When I told her my profession she knew what areas to focus, I thought that was pretty amazing. I see most of the reviews on here are of her. Which doesn't surprise me, I wouldn't go to anyone else. Cathy is absolutely the BEST! I just heard she is no long with the spa at willowbend which I was devistated. I however got in contact with her and getting my next massage booked ;)

I frequently get deep tissue massage from Kathy. The first time I went it was for 2 hours and was a splurge. I enjoyed it so much that I regularly go back and continue the 2 hour massage. Its well worrth it! Kathy always leaves me feeling calm, relaxed and refreshed. Kathy also figures out how to get the deep tension and knots out without leaving me sore the next day. I would highly reccomend giving her a visit!

My sisters and I spent an afternoon at the Spa and we thoroughly enjoyed our massages and dry sauna. The facility is especially nice with experienced, qualified staff that were both courteous and conscientious.
Cathy Callahan was my therapist, and she was superb. She had a great touch...strong hands with just the right depth and stroke. She was able to relax some very stubborn muscles and release a whole lot of stress. My sisters had Maeve and Jenny...and reported both to be excellent. Did I mention the hot towels...what a great technique. Very soothing.
The facility is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. It offers luxury and comfort. Some spas are beautiful but have a stuffy atmosphere. Not the case here. Comfort and relaxation with the benefit of luxury were the perfect combination.
I highly recommend this Spa, and Cathy!

I recently had one of the best facials in my life with Leanne. It is so hard for me to relax sometimes but she made me feel so relaxed I almost fell asleep. She clearly explained all of the products she was using and what my skin needed and a recommendation routine for me to try. When I walked out of there my skin was amazingly hydrated and I can't wait to see Leanne again soon. Also they even had a yummy cupcake in celebration of my birthday..... which was such a nice touch. I finally listened to my wife and went to see Cathy about my aching shoulders. I play golf and have had pains in both between my shoulders and down my arm. She was able to work almost all of my whole massage on my shoulders and neck. I didn't realize how bad it was until she hit all those spots and spots I didn't know were there. She sent me home with the information on how to start stretching it out and taught me about the benefits of epsom salts soaks. I had to admit to my wife that it felt better and that I needed to keep going. Well, now I've been a few times it's so much better and my range of motion is great. So it's helped me and my golf game. Definitely recommend her for any of your aches and pains.

I recently went to get a massage at this spa. I've been having pains between my shoulders for months. I had a massage by Cathy. She was amazing! I've never had someone that preferred doing body work instead of just a massage. She explained why I hurt and what causes it. She asked me first if I was wanting to work on getting long lasting relief or just a quick fix. I was amazed at her work on my shoulders. Shoulder girdle is what she called it and spent most of my 90 minutes working my neck, shoulder, rotator cuff and spine. The hot towels felt good but were amazing after all that upper body work (finished with my back when it had finally relaxed). She did wonders on that area and really gave my low back major relief. It lasted for days. I'll definitely do the exercise ball and stretches she recommended. And will put massage on my monthly calendar. I had no idea how much bodywork does vs a regular massage but definitely recommend you see her!!!

As a first time customer, I could not be more pleased! The receptionist, massage therapist, and aesthetician were all so kind and helpful. Cathy was my massage therapist and she was so attentive and and relaxed me to the point of falling asleep. It was so great! And LeAnne not only gave me the most amazing facial, but also some great advice on how to take better care of my skin. My face was had a glow for days! Can't wait to visit the spa again!

The Spa at Willow Bend is a great place to relax and get an amazing massage !! Cathy is the best massage therapist......her room and her table are amazing. The candles and water features make for a very relaxing environment and her table is heated and well padded. It's like heaven on earth to spend an hour plus being totally pampered. Cathy takes good care to make sure you are very comfortable and you can let go of all of your stress and forget about everything for a while. The best gift you can give yourself or a loved one is a session at the spa with Cathy !!

I came with my sister for a pedicure. She arrived 5 minutes before I did, but when I entered the waiting area, she was no where to be found. I gave the receptionist my name and my sister's name, and asked where my sister was. The receptionist said my sister wasn't there.
I knew she was because she had just texted me! I decided to wander around and found her in a smaller waiting room in the back that no one told me about. My sister told me they walked her back there. When they finally asked us what w"e wanted to drink, they never came back with the drinks! Then, the manicurists came and we reminded them of the drinks. They got them and then walked behind us to to pedicure room instead of in front, so we got lost and went down the wrong hall.
Two of the five (?) pedicure chairs were broken so my sister and I had to sit on opposite sides of the room. My massage chair squeaked loudly as the rollers moved up and down. No one offered us anything the whole time (another drink, here's the remote to your chair, etc.). It was very "factory-like".
It is a beautiful place with skilled nail people, but the customer service and personal attention leaves much to be desired for the cost of the treatment. I've had much better.

I am going to be in a wedding in April, so decided to try Spa @ Willow Bend's spray tan. I've had Mystic Tan in the past, but there is no comparison. Cathy personally sprays your tan and gives every attention to detail. She's experienced, friendly, and helps you feel @ ease. In addition, Spa @ Willow Bend Spray Tan has much less of an orangy tint than Mystic. Get your summer tan today and ask for Cathy! She's awesome!!

I recently booked a massage at the Spa at Willow Bend with Trini who was recommended by a friend.
The atmosphere was so relaxing and the spa is beautiful and pristine. From the minute I walked in I felt more relaxed and there is a beautiful aquarium and the hallway is lined with a waterfall that made me feel like I was in a retreat somewhere.
The front desk ladies made me feel so welcome. They showed me the facility and let me change and sit in the sauna while I waited for my appointment. I also had a nice glass of wine which was a very nice touch.
I loved Trini from the start. She is great at deep tissue massage and was very knowledgeable and professional. She seemed to just know where my sore muscles were and had a very flowing technique.
I highly recommend the Spa at Willow Bend and look forward to going back for another massage and try some of their other services.

I had the full body massage as a gift and I must say Jenna gave the best I had ever had. Jenna first evaluated my needs and she took care of every place that needs special attention. I will always go here even though I pass several SPA’s to get to this one because it is the best. See you next month.
I do not know if the massage or pedicure is the best so I would suggest both. You feel like a Queen when you leave.

Yesterday I had a massage from Cathy and I have to say it was the best I've ever had. I was a collegiate athlete so I've had my fair share of massages. I also have quite a few aches and pains from my college days. Cathy was extremely knowledgeable and explained what was causing the pain and what to do to prevent it in the future. I moved from Chicago where I used to always go to the small boutiques Spa.... moving to Dallas I was scared that I could not find the same. Well, I was wrong, my husband got me a gift certificate for the Spa at Willow Bend. I booked a treatment with Cathy Callahan - she was wonderful to me. Her passion and dedication for the beauty and well being was a perfect fit for me. She listened my life challenges (new baby, lack of sleep, allergies..), I felt understood and well taking care of. I had the following treatment with her already: detoxifying body wrap, body scrubs and regular massage. She did an outstanding job, she is professional, caring and knowledgeable about her treatments. I will be back with her as soon as I can.
I also enjoy a facial and skin consultation with Connie and I was extremely satisfy by her knowledge, care and passion about her field.
And finally, I had a manicure and pedicure done - fantastic. Loved it too.
Overall, I truly love this Spa. It is intimate and the staff is great. They also offer great promotion that I usually take advantage of.

I have had 4 of my 6 oxygen facials with Connie and my skin is noticeably improved. Connie is very knowledgeable and has given me a treatment plan for better, younger looking skin, not by just blindly buying products hoping they will work. Through a combination of the facials and the excellent products I can see my skin really improving. Finally someone who knows what they're doing with skin! After moving to DFW area, I could not find a good professional cosmetologist for my skin type. I tried several decent spa salons but I either did not see any improvement or worse, I had skin irritation after visits. When I decided to try Spa at Willow Bend, I was randomly assigned to Connie. From the very first visit I noticed improvement of the skin tone and texture. Connie's behavior is very professional. She makes you feel comfortable and valued. She does an excellent work and provides good advice. I like her service so much, I became her regular customer and I will recommend anyone to try her service.

I'm 43 and my face was terribly broken out for the past couple of years. Connie took the time to research the products I was using and explain why they were working against me. After two facials with Connie and using a Clarisonic Pro with Actifirm products, my breakouts are just about gone. Connie even called me a couple of days after my first facial to ask how the products were working and if I had questions. I was amazed to be given that level of service! I went to the Spa at Willow Bend for the first time recently and had Cathy give me a 60 minute massage, and it was divine! I've had many massages before--being a teacher I need them more often!--but my experience with Cathy was by far the most relaxing, helpful, soothing, and educational (yes, I said that!) massage I've ever had. I have pretty bad neck issues, and she shared a wealth of knowledge about stretches, positioning, etc, for me to practice at home in between massages. This is not your run-of-the-mill massage factory. It's part of a wellness center, and I definitely got the impression that their staff is incredibly experienced, knowledgeable, and really does care about not just your one-time massage, but your overall health. Awesome experience, definitely going back in a month!

I had a massage and body scrub done with Trish. She was such an excellent masseuse. The whole atmosphere is relaxing and cozy. They give you secure lockers and robes with slippers. After my massage, Trish suggested I try the sauna - and it was absolutely wonderful.
I was the only one in the area at the time and felt like the whole area was all mine.
This place is a MUST for at least a monthly visit!!

I've been dying to have a table massage since forever, so my fiance and I decided to try their couples massage. When we walked in, I was really impressed by the awesome lobby and atmosphere. Having worked in/visited many spas in the past, this was by far the nicest set up I've seen. We filled out our paperwork, and was then taken to the restrooms where we changed into robes and slippers and waited in an even cozier, private lounge for our therapists to come get us. Daphne and Trish then came and got us and took us to a really cozy, tastefully decorated room. We let them know that we had never had a massage done before, so they were very gentle and attentive to the areas we were sore in. Afterward, Trish turned on the sauna for us and let us stay and relax even though that wasn't part of our service. Truly an amazing experience, really nice staff, and my fiance and I were able to relax. We will be back again!

Do NOT order a gift certificate!!By DonnaR | May 18, 2011
My brother & I wanted to give our mother a Raindrop Therapy massage for Mother's Day. We went to the spa's website and decided to each get her a gift certificate, send them both to my brother's house, and he would present her with them on Mother's Day. We both placed orders on May 3rd, with Mother's Day being May 9th; PLENTY of time. Their site says they e-mail the certificates to you, or you can pick up or have them mailed upon request. Neither of us got an e-mail, and were only given the shipping option of USPS Priority at the checkout, so we waited for them to be mailed. By the 13th, neither of us had received anything. I called to find out what the delay was, only to be told there was a mix up, and one certificate had been cancelled. They re-ran my credit card and said the certificate would be in the mail that day, May 13th. It is now May 18th and only 1 certificate has been received. I have called twice today to request they just e-mail the certificate, and am being told they're "doing their best". Really? We are now 9 days past Mother's Day and FIFTEEN days past the original order date, and our mother probably thinks we forgot about her, but hey, they're doing their best, right? Unacceptable and a huge disappointment.

I was looking for someone new to do my facials and wanting to knock a few years from my age and
the staff suggested that i try the Oxygen facial, which I did, and I was AMAZED. My skin looked so radiant afterwards and remained that way for about 4 days. The oxygen facial for best results needs at least 6 treatments. But it is amazing.
Connie V. was wonderful, she is so professional, wonderful personality, she will definitely pamper you.

Don't Be Tricked into the Shio Doro WrapBy JenniferB | April 11, 2011
I called this spa to schedule an appoinment for a "Sudatonic Wrap". The Sudatonic wrap was advertised on their services page for "weight and inch loss". However, when I called, I was told that the spa was no longer offering the "Sudatonic" wrap because they were having better results with the "Shio Doro" wrap. I reluctantly made an appointment, even though I was not convinced about the slimming effects of a "shio doro" wrap. The "shio Doro" wrap did ABSOLUTELY nothing for me. Absolutely NO inch loss, slimming effect, or cellulite reduction. Although this wrap may be detoxifying, it definitely does NOT substitute for Sudatonic wrap. I spent $150 on the wrap (and a $30 tip because the therapist was very nice)... What a rip-off!!!! I feel jipped because I should NOT have been offered a subsitute that does not deliver the same results. I feel very cheated.

I was looking for a good massage in my area when I came across the reviews about Cathy on Spafinder. I am glad that I did. I found the spa to be relaxing and a good atmosphere, I especially liked that they have a dry sauna in the ladies locker room. Cathy Callahan says that her specialty is backs, and she is right! I had an excellent full body massage but if you need back work, she is your gal. I went in for my shoulder and was pleasantly surprised at how awesome she is at everything. While Cathy was working on my shoulder, she gave me some helpful stretches to do at home to help my shoulder. Cathy is super sweet and great at what she does. Go see her!!

I was looking for a good massage in my area when i came across the reviews about Cathy Callahan on spafinder. I booked the appointment and I'm glad that i did. Cathy was professional, very gracious, kind and very good at what she does. Cathy said that her specialty was backs and she was right. I primarily needed some shoulder work and while Cathy worked on my shoulder, she also gave me some helpful stretches to do at home. Overall I am very satisfied with my deep tissue massage by Cathy Callahan. I will definitely go back!

The Spa at Willow Bend is an amazing and wonderful place. And if you want the best massage ever, see CATHY!
Not only will you get a great massage...feel good, deep tissue, medium pressure or perhaps some kind of injury that needs working out, you will get the most professional and comforting massage possible, in a very warm and inviting atmosphere. Cathy has years of experience and even understands the "therapeutic" aspects of what a massage should be. I've had lower back pain and a shoulder injury and by seeing Cathy on a regular basis, most of my pain has subsided. Well worth my time and money!
I highly recommend Cathy for your next massage at the Spa at Willow Bend in Plano.

I have a back injury and was very hesitent to allow someone to touch my back, let alone massage it. Boy, was I wrong to feel that way! I was fortunate enough to get Cathy, a personable, well-trained, and above all, skilled massage therapist. She made me feel right at ease and used her magic fingers to take away all of my stress. When I went for the massage, I had just lost my mother and was under quite a good deal of stress. For over one hour, Cathy managed to melt my stress away. I loved every single part of my massage, but especially when Cathy did my hands and neck, as well as when she used the hot stones. They were extremely relaxing. Overall, I rate this massafe five tars out of five and can't wait for my next one!

I googled spas in my area and The Spa at Willow Bend was on the list.
Because this was my first time going to this spa, I was slightly nervous about what tye of experience I would have.
When Marianne walked out to get me for my treatments, I felt so at ease. Her personality was so refreshing and sweet.
I got the Honey scrub and the 60 minute massage.
Marianne was outstanding with her massage skills. I was so relaxed and happy with the whole two hours.
I think Marianne is the Best at what she does and I will be a regular customer moving forward.

This was a terrible experience. I am suprised they are still in business. There are so many nicer spas in this area and the my nail tech had a negative outlook and conitunued to bad mouth the other lady that does nails there? It was far from relaxing and my nails look bad. the pedicure was ok. Overall I would spend my money anywhere else!!

This was my first visit to a spa of this caliber. The interior design is unlike any other. The women in the spa have great personalities and put you at ease, if you're someone who gets nervous as I do traipsing around in a robe among strangers. No worries, everything is very private and relaxed.

I cannot think of enough adjectives to tell you about Connie and her facial. I asked her to take 40 years off and I thnk she did ten, which is about ten more than I truly expected.
She is thorough, patient, understanding and compassionate in addition to being highly skilled. I was so relaxed by the time she finished that I could hardly walk.
My only complaint is that they are too far away from my home.

Cathy, massage therapist, at the Spa at Willow Bend is simply the best massage therapist I have found in the Dallas area. She takes time to find out your issues and works to help relieve stressed muscles and break up scar tissue. Having had many medical issues due to a car accident, Cathy has worked with me to heal soft tissue injuries and helped me feel much better in general. The spa is a beautiful setting....the service outstanding !!

I enjoyed my facial very much. The only reason I did not rate my visit at a 5 was due to the products that I took home as samples and not the spa & staff. Cathy was absolutely amazing! She has totally spoiled me with massages and not sure I'll be happy with anyone else from this point! She has the perfect touch (for both my husband and me), and she is able to relieve aches/pains as well as just give you the most relaxing massage you've ever had. I would highly recommend a massage from Cathy, whether you have specific stress issues or you just need to relax and feel good!
She also has helped me with some scar tissue massage that has helped with some major pain I've experienced. She is well-versed in the whole massage field! Go and enjoy her magic hands!!!

I went in completely stessed and left totally relaxed. This was my first time to visit the spa. The atmosphere is simple chic and serene. The massage table itself was amazing. The therapist (Kathy) was both friendly and professional. The massage was a full hour (no short changing on time). She listened to what I wanted, gave me tips on how to stretch to relieve stress. I actually felt like she cared. I will return for more.

My daughter and I enjoyed a 'spa day' and we were thrilled with the experience. From the moment you enter you begin to relax with the soothing atmosphere surrounding you. I have had other facials, but Connie is by far, the best! She creates such a feeling of calm and relaxation that makes you feel re-energized and your skin rejuvenated. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her mani/pedi with Ken. He made her feel so special and relaxed that her legs felt like jello! A very worthwhile experience with many services to choose from.

I also had a facial from Connie, who really took her time to make sure I was relaxed and enjoyed the experience. She was very gentle and almost rhythmically methodical, which I appreciated because I have extremely sensitive skin and can break out on the drop of a dime. My skin felt clean and rejuvenated afterwards, and I had no problems at all with reactions.

I visited this spa on Valentine's Day. My fiancé" and I enjoyed a couple's massage together. It was terrific. When you first arrive you are at immediately at ease in the very relaxing atmosphere with the sweet, calming smell of incense all around you. The restroom/changing areas are huge and a nice warm temperature , you get into your robe and slippers and then are sent to the waiting area until your services are available. The waiting area was extremely nice and cozy. Comfortable lounge chairs and an assortment of snacks and beverages including champagne.
Will definitely return, my massage therapist was Waleska and she was simply amazing. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

I have visited several spas and will say that the Spa at Willow Bend is by far the most exceptional. The staff is wonderful and so professional from the moment you are greeted until the time (sadly) you leave. There are numerous services to choose from. My nails have never looked better thanks to Ken. The oxygen facial series with Connie is a must and has transformed my skin. I feel like a new person after my massages with Waleska.... the BEST.
I always enjoy my spa experience and would highly recommend all the services....truly worth a visit.

I want to take this opportunity to tell you how thoroughly happy and excited I am with the Oxygen Facial Series. I especially am so grateful that I connected with you as my aesthetician. The facial experience you create is an amazing hour of calm and relaxation, and at the end leaves me feeling rejuvenated and facially re-energized.
After the first facial, I saw a brightness to my skin that convinced me to purchase the series. Now, after the fifth facial, I am clearly seeing continued brightness, smoothness, less visible pores and a definite diminishing of lines around my eyes, mouth, and forehead.
I have had facials regularly for many years but never with the positive results experienced with the oxygen facial.
I am faithful in using the products and am convinced that they are effective.
Healthy living is the foundation of a healthy body and thus healthy skin so with a nourishing/balanced diet, exercise and following your skin recommendations, I know that I am doing what will enhance and maintain my healthy skin.

I had the luxury of spending the day at The Spa at Willow Bend for my 32nd birthday (which was a much needed pampering after sleepless nights with a 12 week old). From the moment I was greeted to the moment I left, I felt like a princess. The day was definitely all about me. I was treated to water and frozen grapes upon my arrival, the best deep tissue massage and reflexology by Daphne, a wonderful lavender and rose soothing herbal bath and I completed the day with an enzyme peel and oxygen facial by Connie which has AMAZING results! The staff was very knowledgeable, the atmosphere was serene and relaxing and the treatments were by far some of the best I've had, if not the best which I would not hesitate to say! I will definitely be making my next spa appointments with The Spa at Willow Bend.

My boyfriend gave me a giftcard to the Spa at willow Bend for a 90 minute massage and bath soak. I try to get massage every few weeks I have quite a bit of neck and back pain from my job. I can't express how amazing the massage was that I recieved. I really need someone who can deliver a very deep but theraputic massage at the same time and boy did I get that with this particular therapist. Sarah was the absolute best massage I have ever gotten in a long time. She was so kind and so knowledgable about massage. I felt like a new person so relieved and relaxed. The private aromatherapy bath was relaxing as well I loved it soo much. I can't wait to go back for my next massage.

My travels have led to me to Europe
and Asia. I have had numerous treatments all over the world but I never experienced an Intraceuticals oxygen infusion. The results were phenomenal. After she was halfway done with the oxygen treatment Connie Virani, the esthetician, had me compare both sides of my face. I kid you not...I looked 15 years younger on the completed side...in just 30 minutes! It was unbelievable. I signed up for a six week package.
Connie Virani is professional and her soothing technique is probably the best I have EVER experienced. The spa is gorgeous. All in all I would give The Spa at Willow Bend ten stars!!!

My friend and I were over at the Spa at Willow Bend last night and had an absolutely amazing time! We took advantage of the Girlfriend's Spa Day Special, and enjoyed being pampered with our treatments while unwinding under the calm and relaxing atmosphere. To top it all off, we were treated to a foot soak while sipping on some wine and cheese. The service was excellent, the ambience was excellent the treatments were to die for! I cannot imagine a more perfect haven to find rest and relaxation after a demanding day. Five stars.
