I went to Sydney Albert for the first last week. I was super excited to get my hair cut and colored! Never, in my wildest dreams, could I have imagined what I was in store for...Let me start by saying that at first, everyone there was very pleasant. What followed was a seven hour ( Yes, 7 HOURS) experience that was probably the worst I have ever had. I used words like brassy and golden to describe exactly what I did NOT want in terms of color. In addition I offered a picture from a magazine to further illustrate the type of color I WAS looking for...what did I get seven hours later? Golden, brassy color that frankly, I could just as easily gotten from a box of ordinary hair dye.
At first the salon encouraged me to let them fix it and against my better judgement I let them try. Now again, I got there at 10:45 for an 11:00 appointment and I did not leave the salon until 6:15 pm!! My scalp was burning from the harsh chemicals they used, the color was one unknown to the natural world and the manager was quite possibly one of the rudest human beings I have had the misfortune to come across.
I cannot express how utterly disappointed I was with the services I received but more so with the managers discourteous, bad-mannered, and down right cruel treatment. I am sure I am not the first person to be unhappy with a salon service, but if the way I was spoken to is any indication of the salons "heart" it is black and cold. Shame on Sydney Albert's customer service skills, and shame on their utter lack of empathy. I sincerely hope that I am the first and last person to be treated in such a disrespectful, mean spirited manner.

Went to SydneyAlbert a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised. It's in a shopping center I've passed hundreds of times and never noticed it. Glad I found it on here! Loved the haircut, will be back!

I have had many massages and usually just book one through groupon or whatever is convenient. Well today I had a massage with Monica and had the best deep tissue massage I have ever received. I am training for a marathon and was suffering from hip pain and shin splints. Monica was very thorough and knowledgeable about how to alleviate my sore muscles and knots. She was so good that I have already booked my next massage. I would highly recommend this spa/ salon and if you are looking for a great massage ask for Monica!

I know that this is technically for a "spa experience", but I had to post about Tami the hairstylist!! I never take the time to do these reviews- so, this should tell you something! I have sent numerous people to Tami and they have all been 100% satisfied. She is quick, knows what looks best on you, and does a great job.
For some reason, the cuts (and foil) she has done on me last way longer than other salons. Must be magic! I have been going to her for four years and it is well worth the price!

I have been seeing Meggan for massages over the past year due to some medical issues from an auto accident. Her professionalism and caring approach to my issue was exactly what I needed. Her therapy method did the trick and I continue to see her bi-weekly. This is something I would not give up! Time with Meggan is well worth the investment in your pysical and mental health. Following my massage time I feel great. When visiting Sydney Albert for a massage seek out Meggan. She's fabulous !!

How do you prepare for the holidays? Many cook, some run around doing last minute shopping for the kids, while others indulge in "me time".
I've been going to Sydney Albert Salon Spa since they opened in 2004 and have previously written about my love for them. (Read previous article here.)
Since it was the holidays, Sydney Albert was kind enough to provide me with a makeup session/lesson, since that is one of the few treatments I had yet to have there. The salon manager Dan assured me that Michele was the best in town for a new look. Hey New Year, New You, right?
My family celebrates the 7 fishes on Christmas Eve, so what better than to get my makeup done and show it off to family and friends.
When I arrived, the staff greeted me with a warm welcome as always, took my coat and offered me a beverage. A woman who was dressed so cute for the holidays walked up from the back, I complimented her outfit, turns out it was Michele Sondej my makeup artist. I knew I was in good hands the second I laid eyes on her.
The makeup area at Sydney Albert is right when you first enter the salon. I've always admired their beautiful selection but had no idea that the line is Michele's very ow

I received a gift certificate for Spa Finder and used it at SydneyAlbert. I had a facial and manicure and my 5 yr old daughter had a manicure as well.
They were all very friendly, accommodating and professional.
The facial was very relaxing and enjoyable and my daughter's nails look fantastic! It's hard to draw designs on such tiny nails but they did it beautifully :)
I would definitely recommend SydneyAlbert to my friends!

I went to this spa with my girl friends for our girls day out. We got a facial, manicure, pedicure and massage for a great price. I could have done without th manicure and pedicure but the massage and facial were great, very relaxing as well.

This place is the best for a great spa day. I saw the one neg. comment which reminded me of the guy the use to do my massages he was great but he don't work there anymore but the others are amazing also. The manicures and pedicures there are great and actually last, I had my manicure last a week which any other place ive gone to it only lasted a day which is a plus. I love the team here you can tell they seem like a family and treat you like your apart of it.

I have been to many spas and just found sydneyalbert. It was a delightful experience from start to finish. The service providers really know their jobs and the staff are friendly and helpful. I particularly recommend the sydneyalbert signature massage and the spa pedicure. I haven't tried their hair services yet, but I intend to; everyone who walked out looked great!

I was given a gift certificate to get a massage there and it was horrible. The masseur should not smell like he just smoked a cigarette. And chewing a mint does not take the smell away. Oddly enough, everyone kept telling me he was the best. Well, he should have known better. No one should have to hold their breathe during a massage.

Employees really should be reminded that when a client is getting a massage they don't want to smell someone who just smoked a cigarette. What if someone is allergic to cigarette smell and believe me chewing a mint is not going to get rid of it.
Sorry, no smokers should be giving a massage.
