Consistently impressed with InSymmetry
I love InSymmetry! I started going there in 2008 or so, and even now in 2013, I'm still impressed! Candace, the owner, hires the amazing massage therapists. Granted, I have a favorite, but when she's busy, I know I can't go wrong if I book with someone else. The prices are great, especially if you buy a series of massages, and even if you don't, they often have promotions and deals. More importantly, after suffering a serious injury, there's no place I trust as much as InSymmetry. The staff are knowledgeable about the body and will work out any kinks or painful areas. They're sensitive to your needs, and, well, just totally awesome!

I love this place!
I've been going here for years, and have referred at least 20 friends who have all agreed that this is one of the best places for a massage in SF. Where else in SF can you get a awesome hour-long hot stone massage for $70?!?

Making an appointment takes forever and is NOT relaxing
I just tried to make an appointment at this location. 1. The online booking doesn't work (5 min spent so far). 2. I called and the owner answered. I was on hold for 5 min, so hung up to call back (10 min spent so far). 3. When I called back, I was put on hold again. 4. When I finally talked with someone (the owner), I had to enter my information in the system because I was a new customer. This process took about 5 min (15 minutes spent so far). 5. We discussed why they needed my address, email, AND phone (would I get marketing emails/fliers?, etc). Answer: all are required otherwise you can't make an appointment (20 minutes spent so far). 6. The owner didn't like me questioning her policies--she decided to reject service to me. TOTAL TIME SPENT TRYING TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, NOT SUCCEEDING: 25 min. A relaxing spa experience starts with good customer service when booking appointments. Perhaps their services are worth the hassle, but I'll never know.

I'm so sorry you had a negative initial experience with In-Symmetry. Our booking system does require certain information to book an appointment, but we can assure you that you won't be subject to any unwanted marketing materials. Hopefully you've found another resource for therapeutic bodywork!

Although In Symmetry is not in the easiest to find location, when you walk it the door, you are already relaxed. Every massage I have gotten here has been wonderful, and I love the hot rocks. My husband is very particular about his massages and has come back each time with a smile on his face. I was happy to see they accept spa finder certificates.
