About Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa
Set on 22 acres on the Monterey Peninsula, the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa is located next to Pebble Beach Company's Del Monte Golf Course and overlooks the golf course and verdant woodland. The hotel, which underwent a $65-million renovation in 2009, offers a simple elegance, reflected in its gracious accommodations, lounge areas with fireplaces, and an overall design inspired by its natural surroundings. The on-site Accista Spa blends local beauty and the seasons in its design and services.
Hotel amenities include two swimming pools, a racquet club, a gourmet restaurant highlighting Tuscan and Californian specialties, kids' programs, and a conference center, along with 40,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
The beach and bay are just blocks away, as are prime attractions like Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Services View Treatments Menu
Accista Spa's aesthetic celebrates Monterey's changing seasons, colors, and natural landscape, as does its spa menu, offering guests regionally inspired services that incorporate indigenous ingredients from the sea, mountains, and lush surroundings and vary seasonally. Spa-goers can relax with soothing signature therapies such as the Seasonal Scrub, Wrap, and Soak, a trio of treatments that blend extracts including acorn flour, Pacific sea salt, and California poppy, as well as a variety of facial and massage services.
Interiors are designed to connect exteriors and interiors by combining metal, wood, stone, and glass. Expansive windows allow natural light to permeate the 12,000-square-foot complex, which has a full-service salon and 10 treatment rooms, including four couple's suites with fireplaces, side-by-side massage tables, and relaxation areas; one includes a soaking tub. Separate men's and women's locker rooms come equipped with sauna and steam rooms.

Golf is a big attraction at the resort, where guests of all skill levels tee off on the 18-hole Pebble Beach Company's Del Monte Golf Course, adjacent to the hotel; Del Monte's sister property, the acclaimed Pebble Beach Golf Links, is just one of more than 20 additional public courses in the area. While grown-ups hit the links, kids can go to Camp Hyatt, for day trips to the Piers, nature walks, arts and crafts, and more. There are six tennis courts, along with two outdoor, heated pools, each with a hot tub.
The 2,000-square-foot StayFit @ Hyatt health club features an array of exercise equipment and is open 24 hours a day; those wanting to work out in-room can participate in the Yoga Away™ program.
Off-site options include horseback riding, hiking, biking, and whale watching cruises. Popular sites like the historic Cannery Row—a waterfront street now lined with the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium, shops, restaurants, and hotels, many of which are housed in former canneries—are also worth a visit.
