I made an appointment here for a Swedish massage a week out. When I arrived at this small converted apartment with no air conditioning I was told that while my name was "in the book", no one had assigned a massage therapist. There were no massage therapists there so I was out of luck. I planned my whole day around this appointment and strategically scheduled it for my first day of vacation. What a disappointment! In her defense, she did try to give me a discount on my next visit but I have no interest in giving any money to a business that is incapable of taking an appointment.

I went to DLK while looking for a new waxer. I had a brazilian wax and she used the same stick to spread the wax throughout the whole wax.... I am not an expert but that does not seem hygenic. When I left I had so many stray hairs that were missed. I would never visit this place again and would not recommend it to anyone.

For Christmas, I received a spafinder gift certificate and found DLK on spafinder.com. Since the location was convenient and the prices were economical, I went to try it out. I got a facial with Angela and she worked wonders on my skin! I left feeling so refreshed and relaxed. Already looking forward to my next appointment with Angela, my miracle worker! :)

I have been going to DLK for my monthly facials/waxing since the early 90s. I recently received a SpaFinder gift card and I wouldn't go anywhere else even though I now that I could use it at hundreds of other places! I regularly do the European Facial to clean the pores and recently I started doing Microdermabrasion and Photo Rejuvenation sessions. I go to DLK for the many many years of expertise and relaxing atmosphere.

My only contact with this spa has been for booking/cancelling a facial. I booked online using SpaFinder, then due to scheduling conflict (as well as my impression that the spa wasn't the kind I was looking for-- I like high-end, medical spas that are staffed by nurses and doctors), called and left a message to cancel the appointment. In my message, I asked for someone to call and/or email me to confirm cancellation so that I wouldn't be charged a no-show fee, which is equal to the cost of the facial I booked. Days passed and I did not receive a call. I called them back and spoke with someone over the phone to cancel the appointment. The representative was a bit intrusive in trying to ask the reason for my cancellation and pushy in trying to get me to reschedule. I definitely appreciate people asking for feedback, but when a spa employee pressures you to book a new appointment in place of your cancelled one, it often agitates the customer and makes the spa seem desperate for business. Also, failing to call to confirm a cancellation seems a poor business practice, especially when the business charges a hefty no-show fee. I won't be going here.
