The lagoon of Tamarin Bay is the view from Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa, Mauritius. The five-star luxury property provides guests with a private villa setting on the west coast of the island. Opened in 2004, the year-round beachfront resort sprawls across 27 acres. It comprises 65 suite villas, a spa, an infinity-edge swimming pool, and two restaurants and bars. Five minutes from Flic en Flac village, guests can enjoy the seclusion of the property while still having a bustling shopping area nearby.
Like the property, the Maradiva Spa is inspired by the heritage of India. Both traditional Indian and Western treatments are offered, and natural products are used in the services.

The Indian-inspired Maradiva Spa is outfitted with Indian brass decor and has a private garden with sitting area in each spa room. With six treatment rooms, the 1,950-square-meter spa has a menu with holistic signature, Indian, beauty, Ayurvedic, yoga, and hair treatments. The signature treatment Satvica, Tejas, Tarunya, Pavani balances the chakra through meditation and massage. The authentic Ayurveda, meditation and yoga treatments are with an in-house Ayurvedic physician and yoga and meditation experts.
The spa also offers supervised detoxification, stress management, and sleep-improvement programs and classes emphasizing meditation or spiritual awareness; it also has a comprehensive weight-loss program. The spa menu is based primarily on traditional Ayurvedic medicine, and treatments utilize natural products blended by hand.
The spa area includes a relaxation area with heated pool, wet area, steam sauna, laconium, chill pool, yoga studio, and large treatment room with attached relaxation area. It also features private and couple's suites.
The minimum spa age is six.

Travel Information
- Sir Seewoosagar Ramgulam airport is one hour away by car.
- Taxi or rental car transfers can be arranged through the hotel for a fee.
- Low season is from May 1 to the end of September, and from December 1 to December 23.
- High season is from October through December 23 and from December 24 to the beginning of January.
- Minimum age in the spa is 16.
- Pets are not permitted.
- November to April has temperatures from 23 to 33˚C, and sea temperature during this time is usually between 22 and 27˚C; May to October temperatures range between 17˚C and 23˚C.
Facilities & Amenities
The 1,000-square-meter fitness center is independent of other buildings on the resort. It features a treadmill, stationary bike, cross trainer, stepper, and a fully equipped cardio room. Fitness classes come in a variety of options: aerobics, aquaerobics, muscle toning, stretching and yoga (six times per week). Personal training is also available. The property's heated pools range in size from 55 to 325 square meters. The largest is next to the main restaurant and faces the sea. Other active on-site pursuits include saltwater fishing and tennis (on a lighted court). Nightlife on the property includes live music.
The Peter Pan Kids Club includes a playground area, shallow pool, sand pit, toy room, bathrooms, kitchen, and dining area for children ages 3 to 12.
Snorkeling, windsurfing, laser sailing, pedal boating, canoeing, waterskiing, and swimming with dolphins are also available. Trips on glass-bottom boats, speedboats, and catamarans, and tee times at the nearby Tamarina Golf Course can also be arranged. The property is near the Pointe aux Piment Aquarium, Casela Nature Park, and Eureka Maison Creole.

Tropical gardens surround the resort's 46 luxury suite villas, 11 beachfront suite villas, six exclusive suite villas, and two presidential suite villas. Interconnecting villas can be reserved for small groups or families. All the villas face the ocean and come with 24-hour butler service, beach access, a private patio, and access to the infinity-edge plunge pool.
The resort has made a major commitment to using organic or locally sourced ingredients in the cuisine. Coast2Coast is a fusion restaurant with an open terrace offering Mediterranean, Mauritian, and international fare. Pan-Asian dishes are served at Cilantro and include Indian, Thai, Japanese, and Vietnamese choices.
