About Grand Hotel Heiligendamm
Nestled in the dense forestland along the Baltic Sea on Germany's northern coast, the Grand Hotel Heiligendamm holds the honor of being the country's oldest seaside resort, originating in 1793.
The brisk air and mild climate have long attracted travelers to the "white town by the sea" and to the Heiligendamm hotel, whose guests have included European nobility during the summer holiday to world leaders attending the 33rd G8 Summit.
Used as a sanatorium after World War II, the hotel reopened in 2003, comprising a new state-of-the-art spa complex. The hotel's six crisp white buildings offer an unpretentious, classic feel, complementing its "luxury is leisure" philosophy, and guests have direct access to the Baltic Sea beach.
Several restaurants are on-site, in addition to meeting facilities, two golf courses, and a children's area.

Heiligendamm Spa is a 3,000-square-meter wellness and beauty complex with 16 treatment rooms, where guests can indulge in therapeutic rituals that remain faithful to the original offerings of the seaside resort. The extensive spa menu ranges from energy work—Reiki, tuina, and Tibetan singing bowls are offered—to traditional Chinese medicine such as acupuncture and cupping to sea buckthorn and oceanic rituals. Medical services include cardiovascular checkups, dermatology, and metabolic consultations. As well spa-goers can reserve the Baltic Sea hammam purification and detox diet program.
The spa offers extensive heat and wet circuits including a unisex Finnish sauna, bio-sauna, a Baltic hammam, a steam bath, a caldarium, an ice room, and a Kneipp pool. Physical fitness, an additional important aspect of the complex, can be taken at the exercise center, which features TechnoGym equipment and personal trainers.
