  Located along the northwestern end of the isle of Cyprus in the quaint town of Polis, Anassa (meaning queen in ancient Greek) fosters a regal ambience. Set amid 85,000 square meters of manicured gardens, the Mediterranean hotel overlooks miles of beachfront that join the Akamas peninsula nature reserve and its Baths of Aphrodite.

Anassa allows guests to choose from nearly 20 room layouts, including family studios, one- and two-bedroom suites—some outfitted with plunge pools and whirlpools—and villa-type accommodations amid manicured gardens. The two-story Alexandros Residence features a foyer, dining room, living area with fireplace, kitchenette, and library, as well as a private pool. Room appointments include balconies, where guests can enjoy scenic bay, sea, or garden views.

Anassa has four restaurants on the premises. The casual Amphora offers themed dinner buffets and à la carte options, and the formal Helios serves gourmet Mediterranean cuisine. Basiliko, the hotel's signature gourmet eatery, blends Asian spices with Mediterranean herbs and local ingredients in its innovative Cyprus cuisine; diners can also enjoy a nine-course tasting menu paired with an accompanying wine once a week. Guests can indulge in local Cypriot dishes and fresh seafood specialties at the alfresco Pelagos.

Anassa hosts an extensive menu of activities that allow guests to be as active or as relaxed as they desire. There are three swimming pools, connected with a collection of flowing waterfalls; the hotel's water sports center offers a diving center, parasailing, waterskiing, canoeing, windsurfing, jet skiing, and sailing April through November.

Fitness enthusiasts can compete on the tennis and squash courts or schedule a workout in the on-site gym. Located within an hour of the resort are three golf courses. To make the most of their time in Cyprus, guests can take advantage of the resort's Wanderlust program, which organizes everything from Jeep safari excursions into the wooded, mountainous Akamas peninsula to rock climbing to exploring the Panagia Chrysorroyiatissa Monastery. Infants', kids', and teens' clubs are also available.
