Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa is a 2,400-square-foot spa located in Winston Salem, North Carolina. There are eleven treatment rooms including a couple's room and a sitting area with the signature Hand and Stone water feature. The spa's priority is to provide clients with a "luxurious spa atmosphere without the luxury spa price." Massage therapists are trained in a variety of massage techniques including, but not limited to prenatal, reflexology, neuromuscular, and sports.Estheticians customize all facials to each individual client based on the results of a facial analysis. One of the spa's signature services is the use of special heated river stones massages and hot towel and cold stone face massages.

My Husband gave me a Spafinder gift card for my birthday. A friend of mine reccomended that I use it to try out Hand and Stone with her. She and I decided to go together and get massages. I was suprised to know that my $50.00 gift card covered my entire service! Not to mention my massage was the best I ever had! The second I walked in the lobby I knew this is definately what I needed. The Lobby was relaxing, the rooms were inviting, and the staff was so accomadating and friendly. I have already scheduled another appointment for a facial. I reccommend this place for anyone that wants an amazing service for a really affordable price.

At other spas that I have visited, I was treated to a much more "luxurious" experience. Hand & Stone does not treat their customers like special guests, but rather simple clients. No one was rude, but it certainly felt more like an appointment than a sumptuous treat. This was a result of a very simple decor coupled with rather unpleasant desk staff. Again, not rude, but it become obvious very quickly that they would rather have been somewhere else.
On the other hand, my facial was among the best I've ever had. The esthetician was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and talented. I felt like I received that true, relaxing, "spa day" feel while interacting with her. The other acting staff (massage therapists and estheticians) seemed very accommodating as well. Because of this fact, I would return again personally, because I am more interested in the staff's abilities. However, even an "OK" massage is still pretty excellent, so if you're trying to give a special person in your life that full, luxury experience, you may want to book your treatments elsewhere as many other spas offer similar services for about the same price.

My sister-in-law and I visited this spa for her birthday, it was very nice. The workers were very friendly and everything was great. The only thing that I found to wrong with this spa is that they don't offer a varity of services, but for the most part, I loved it.
