My idea of relaxation is to go to a good spa for a massage. Spadunya, out of all that I have tried, was an amazing experience. In a pure and perfect ambience adorned with the sweet smell of Lavender, the feature that attracted me the most was the element of sheer "Generosity" in terms of time and service. There was no "Rush"...... as if the time had stopped. Although I went for an hour massage, I think I spent a leisurely two and a half hours there. Following my attendant's advice, I first used the sauna, took a shower and then went in to get my massage that left me thorougly revitalized. After the massage I was guided to another room to just chill, browse through some interesting books while munching on a healthy mix of dates, walnuts and dried apricots served with herbal tea. In short, an awesome treat, worth every penny spent, for your body and mind. Spadunya tops my list of spas in Dubai.

Nestled in a cozy alcove in busy JBR is a special spa retreat. If you are on a path of luxurious self exploration, then I highly recommend their fusion facial and body treatments. The Tai therapists know what they are doing when they skillfully take you on four different color journeys for the body, mind and spirit. Excellent results in the facial and the body treatment. My trousers were loose when I put them back on after the treatment. This was a real experience and one I will do again.

It was my birthday - time for a treat for me, I said! Walking down the exquisite hall, I stepped into a sanctuary where time stood still - a haven from the stress of the week. After getting a glimpse of the color-themed rooms, I got to choose my color essence massage oils from the menu. Then I heard that the oils were organic, yes I was in the right place - and the massage was the icing on the cake. Everything was magical for my birthday!
