Candlewood Salon Day-Spa has a natural and organic design with brown tones fading into light lime greens, and sleek leather benches in the relaxation area. The facility encompasses six treatment rooms, a couple's room, a private pedicure area, a hair salon, and men's and women's locker rooms each with a shower and steam shower. Services fuse together ancient methods from the Far East with modern techniques to "purify and harmonize your life." Treatment options feature massage, wet body treatments such as wraps and scrubs, acupuncture, skin-care including photofacials and microdermabrasion, hair care, airbrush tanning, manicures, and pedicures. The Brazilian Blowout is a professional hair treatment meant to create smooth, healthy, and shiny hair. Candlewood's Signature Massage is a 60-minute massage that incorporates a combination of bodywork techniques, hot and cold applications, essential oils, and a personal consultation. Clients can unwind with beverages including green tea, bottled water, juices, and snacks such as crackers and cookies. Warm neck wraps, and five minute shoulder massages come with nail services. Awful! Save your money. Rude staff, talk in their language in front of customers, just obnoxious you can tell they rather be not there.

I took my sister here for a birthday service. She got a 1hr facial, I got a 1hr massage. Our experiences were exactly the same - PERFECT. The spa itself is contemporary, clean and zen. The staff was friendly, professional and experienced in their respective services. We walked out floating on air and immediately talked about going back in a month. Highly recommended.

I had never heard of this spa before, but found it on SpaFinder and it looked great online. I had a few SpaFinder gift certificates to use, so I figured why not try it? My experience was wonderful. The staff was friendly and personal, the equipment was new and clean, the facility was also neat and clean. I used both the salon and spa, and did a facial, massage, nails, hair, etc. From start to finish everyone was great. Elaine, the spa manager, checked in on me and was lovely and personal. The spa itself is just lovely. The rooms are clean and the staff very professional. There was no hard upsell for products - which I thought was great. That always turns me off. On the nail side, the manicure was nice and the pedicure was great. They had lemon slices and rose petals floating in the water. I suddenly felt as if I was in a 5 star resort! I hope they never take that away, it was so pretty! Anyway, I really enjoyed my day from start to finish and will definitely go there again. Thank you SpaFinder for listing this spa - I never would have known it existed without you!

If you want a great men's haircut that will make you look cool then look no further. Not only will you get a contemporary modern look, but you'll be pampered along the way with an attentive stylist, a sink chair that massages your back while you're shampooed and given a gentle scalp massage. You'll feel relaxed and like a million bucks when you are through.
The prices are great for what you get. Coloring and highlights are done well. You won't leave with your blonde highlights turning orange like happens at most other places.
I've recommended to all my guy friends and they also love getting haircuts/color work done here.
Highly recommend Mina. She's got experience and will make you look great!

I have had both good and bad service at this salon/spa.
My last visit left me in tears! The pedicures are always great. However, my manicure was awful. The old polish wasn't completely removed, I was not checked to see if my nails were dry,and not even acknowledged at the drying station.
The eyebrow wax was okay, but wax was left on my face...... Even after I told the girl.
The worst experience was the hair cut. I told Nima what I wanted, she didn't do a good job. I had to asked her to fix the problem three times before she would, and was told she had another customer. Which I found she didn't,she simply didn't want to fix the problem.
When I asked for the name and number of the owner, I was refused, and had to insist. All I did get was a managers name and two days when he was there.
Will I go back again? Not likely. Which is sad as I was a regular customer.

Jenny has been giving me gel manicures for several years. She is very professional and gentle and always on time. My nails get compliments all over the world (literally - I've received compliments in New York City, Israel and Korea - not to mention other nail salons in my area).
Facials and pedicures are also well done, if a little pricey.

I recently had a girls' day at Candlewood with 2 of my friends. We all got the European facial; and we all now have broken out after the treatment. I understand that it could be common for someone to break out after getting a facial, but I've had plenty before at different spas and have never broken out like I have now. I asked my friends how they felt and they were also disappointed in the results of the facial. Never go here for any kind of facial!!!
I have had their massage, and that was okay. Nothing special though, and not something that would make me go back there again.

I used this place to have a 60 minute massage. It was wonderful and relaxing. The atmosphere, expertise, and professionalism rivaled the spas I've visited on three different cruise lines. I found all of the staff very accomodating and pleasant. I just called to book another massage and will continue to use Candlewood Day Spa in the future.

I found The Candlewood Inn Day Spa through Spa Finder and was planning to use their facilities to pamper my five bridemaids for prewedding pampering.
I decided to visit and get a manicure and pedicure myself to see their work.
My pedicure was not relaxing at all. I sat waiting for my services for a good 5-8 minutes. The pedicure was subpar but the manicure was horrible. The woman serving me was lazy and spent the time staring at coworkers rather than watching what she was doing.
We talked about how my nails were weak and that putting nail polish on my fingernails wasn't the best option. She didn't offer to buff them to a shine and the the filing left snags and my nails uneven. Never have I received a manicure this bad!
She didn't assit me to the drying station. She didn't say bye or thank you. Looking closely at my pedicure I noticed that the polish is darker in some areas than in others. It was a total crap job.
I have no intentions of using them for my wedding services at all. My ladies and I need ultra pampering before my big day, this place doesn't seem to offer that to their clients, brides or not.
Not to mention, the woman who I spoke to about the facilities, I believe she is the manager, is rude and snotty and barely cracks a smile.
Take your business else where. The wait isn't worth the bad service.

This place gives the best pedicure in Danbury. It is pricey but def worth it once every couple of months. i also had a reflexology here a year ago when I was 9 mths pregnant and I really enjoyed it

I have had mani pedi, massage & facial done and loved every min. of it. The staff made sure that you were comfortable and happy and willing to do anything they could to keep you that way. I live close to it too. that is nice but I have tried others and they just dont compare!!! LOVE THIS PLACE!
