Located in Torrance, California, Lumièr Medical Inc. is a physician-owned and -operated medical practice that specializes in the latest minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures available to correct changes as a result of aging or otherwise enhance one's physical appearance. The 900-square-foot medical office was designed to soothe patients and make them feel welcome, relaxed, and unrushed by using certain colors and lighting. There are two treatment rooms as well as a lobby/reception area.

Other medical services include Botox® treatment for excessive underarm sweating, RejuveLux® IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) skin rejuvenation, permanent hair reduction, mesotherapy fat reduction treatments, acne treatments, Levulan® photodynamic therapy, ViPeel®, Cosmelan® depigmentation treatments, OBAGI prescription systems with free follow-up consultations, and more.

Michael Lum, M.D.

Michael Lum, M.D., owner and on-staff physician, is a licensed physician and surgeon in the State of California. He received his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed an internship at Lakeside Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He was chief resident at the University of Kansas School of Medicine Family Practice Residency, and board certified in family practice.
Dr. Lum is a diplomate of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the California Academy of Family Physicians. Medical aesthetic affiliations include the American Academy of Medical Aesthetic Professionals, the International Association of Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine, and the American College of Compounding Physicians.
Dr. Lum is also a faculty trainer with the Esthetic Skin Institute. He lectures and trains licensed health care professionals in the use of lasers and lights, botulinum toxins, soft-tissue augmentation, and sclerotherapy.
