About Luxor Hotel & Casino

The highlight of Las Vegas' Luxor (named for an ancient Egyptian city) is its 30-story glass pyramid with a 315,000-watt light beam at the top. The pyramid houses 2,456 guest rooms and suites including 236 spa suites that feature city views from private spa tubs. After hitting the casino, guests can relax with a seasonally inspired treatment at Nurture, the Spa at Luxor or take a swim at one of the resort's four swimming pools (one is topped by Egyptian pillars with goat busts shooting water from their mouths).

Nightly entertainment is only a step away, with shows like CRISS ANGEL Believe™ from Cirque du Soleil, Carrot Top, and FANTASY, an adult-themed revue. Guests can browse shops in the bazaar-style shopping center, the Giza Galleria, or take the 300-foot sky bridge connecting the property with the Mandalay Bay Resort by Mandalay Place, an upscale shopping mall. Other diversions include BODIES...The Exhibition and Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition.

Services

Nurture, the Spa at Luxor is a 17,657-square-foot (1,640-square-meter) facility with 17 treatment rooms. Interiors are decorated in shades of blue, green, rich chocolate, and sand-colored earth tones, and incorporate natural elements of glass, wood, and stone. Subdued lighting, music, aromatherapy, fresh fruit, and hydrating beverages add to the relaxing atmosphere.

Services include massage, body treatments, skin-care services, makeup application, teeth whitening, custom airbrush tanning, and waxing. A range of 25-minute services (massages, facials, and scrubs) brings the flavors of the four seasons to the spa by using ingredients such as pomegranate (spring), tequila lime (summer), pumpkin spice (fall), and cranberry brown sugar (winter). Guests can also unwind in a steam bath, whirlpool soak, or sauna session and work out at the fitness center.

I have had the privilege of visiting the Luxor spa twice, and both times I have been very pleased. The facilities are really beautiful. It is definitely a nice way to take a break from the hustle and the bustle of the Las Vegas Strip. Far and away my favorite treatment was the body scrub that I received. It was indulgent and luxurious, and was finished by a soothing body wrap. There is a lot of competition on the Las Vegas strip when it comes to spas, but the Luxor spa is definitely up to the challenge.

The massage was great. I got there about 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment but I stll had to wait 20 to 30 minutes. The waiting area got kind of full with people and some peolpe didn't hae room to sit. Over all, there was plenty of fruit and drinks and massage was great.

I arrived early for my massage to spend some time in the lounge, and I'm glad I did! Comfortable chairs and locker room, with a variety of yummy hot coffees and teas, fruit and water. Had a 50-minute Swedish massage with lavender scented sheets and soft lighting. Super relaxing, I would definitely go back!
