Erika Taylor Urban Spa

My daughter recently tried to book a spa day for four of us to celebrate her sister's upcoming wedding. She and I have had services there before, and while pricey, we were very pleased. When telling the receptionist what services and what order we would like them in, the woman was rude and argumentative. My daughter hung up and booked at another spa. A receptionist is the first person a client has contact with when booking, or arriving for an appointment. She should be friendly and helpful. I wonder how many other people took their business else ware because of her rudeness.

I was very disappointed by my experience. Purchased a groupon -couples spa package Christmas gift for my GF. Had very speacial day planned & nice hotel that same night after spa. 1. Origianlly made our appointment spa was going to get back to me about confirmation, I never got a call back, I called them and they said they lost my number. (1st indicator poor). 2. Finally was able to arrange appt. On that special day I recieved a phone call 3 hours before our appointment (2nd indicator poor service) saying that one of the massage therapist called in sick and that they could do a partial spa service and we could come back another day.They had no back up therapist (3rd indicator poor service). We decided to reschedule. our day was ruined, hotel & all! 3. Called to reschedule, Angie told me she didn't want to make the appointment and that Erika would call me back becuase she knew Erika wanted to do something special. Promised she would call me if Erika didnt. No call! (4th Poor!) 4. 3 days past,no call. Called, tried to make appt. They again couldnt do it bc of no back-up therpist. Angie was very rude and defensive about her mistake of not calling me back.(5th time!) Erika tried to make it right, too late. Refund! Unproffessional!

Erika Taylor Urban Spa is outrageously overpriced. The services are not guaranteed. The stylists seem very arrogant and the quality of work is poor. Don't expect to look or feel good after a visit to Erika Taylor Spa. Prices are 3 - 4 times average for Columbus, Ohio. Lavish furnishings do not make quality service. I went to Erika Taylor Spa only because I had a $50 spafinder gift card, but the prices of services was so outrageous, I spent over $1,000 for hair color, a mani-pedi, and facial!! The gift card ended up being worthless in this overpriced salon.

my wife and i recently had our first appointment at erika taylor urban spa and i was nervous at first because i've never had a manicure or pedicure, but the staff made me feel very comfortable and at home. we then enjoyed a couple's massage and had a body scrub topped off by the 13 head shower... i must say i was in heaven! you must check out erika taylor urban spa! i'm going back... that's a fact!

I was so disappointed when I arrived for my appointment and had to wait for over five minutes to get in the door while the receptionist talked on the phone and ignored my buzz. Upon arrival, I had the privilege of overhearing a conversation where the owner talked to her staff member as is she were a servant...I was so disappointed to hear that...not to mention the fact that the staff turnover rate is ridiculous; I have yet to see the same staff members in the spa and now my colorist is no longer there and they conveniently do not have a forwarding phone number for him but before they told me that, they tried to pawn me off on one of their fly-by-night staff members, No Thanks! I will use Facebook to find my stylist since they are unwilling to help me. If an owner is incapable of maintaining their staff, what does that say about them? No much, would be my answer. Kristen

I was recently in this spa from out of town and i couldn't believe what i saw. I walked in and waited several minutes before being greeted by the lady behind the desk who was on her cell phone. Then i had to wait another 25 minutes before i was even seen by my stylist! When i told her what i wanted she completely ignored it and now my hair looks like a complete disaster. The color is awful and my hair has never been more fried! After a complaint, Erika introduced herself to me and was very cold. Get this, when i was checking out i even heard her talking bad about me like i couldnt hear her! I will NEVER be back nor recommend this spa to anyone. Ive never had such a bad experience before in my life!

I was from out of town from Texas staying at the Hilton at Easton Towne Center. And i read all about the reviews about Erika Taylor. Dustin greeted me at the door and he ran through a very deep consultation. Great choices of words to describe what exactly he wanted to do with my hair. He gave me exactly what i wanted. It turned out the perfect blonde. I loved him. I will be back to see him!

I had a massage from Betty and it was awesome!! Everyone was very nice and appreciative even when I called that I was running a few minutes behind. I receive excellent service and the atmosphere is great!! Very chic and calming. Betty is just great at what she does!!! She was very into what I needed and was very knowledgeable about what is best for my symptoms and didn't want to take risks. She was very relaxing, attentive and great at working all the kinks out. She was fabulous and even gave me advice on how to keep my knees and legs from swelling as well as my hips aligned from better stance and posture. I WILL be going back to Betty as soon as I can!!!!

I had such a great experience at Erika Taylor Urban Spa this past weekend when visiting Columbus for a wedding. The Spa is GORGEOUS and all the women friendly and stylish. Lisa did an amazing job on my hair! Through the hot, humid afternoon and even despite the rain later on, my hair was perfect! I got compliments all night!

I was sooo excited to go to this Spa and get a haircut, BUT they won't accept SpaFinders Gift Cards for hair services :( I called some other spas on my list and they all did. I am still so bummed, because I had made up my mind on which one I really wanted to go to--Erika Taylor Urban Spa.

I moved to Columbus from Florida, where there are unlimited options for day spas, and I've tried nearly all of them. As an experienced and very particular spa-goer, my search for the perfect spa was fruitless-Until I came to Erika Taylor's. This day spa truly fits the title "diamond in the rough." The interior is urban chic, from the white leather sofas to the perfectly gaudy chandeliers and elegant decor. I was warmly greeted and immediately offered a drink and to take my coat. The receptionist was very inviting and considerate. The massage therapist, Betty, was phenomenal!! She was completely in tune with what my body needed. I had the 90 minute swedish massage. The massages I've had at other spas in Columbus have felt rushed and mechanical. Betty took her time and had a very naturally flowing technique. She actually listened when I told her exactly what I wanted as was shown by the pressure she used and where. The music wasn't offensive or too loud. The room was nice and warm, too.I met the owner, Erika on my way out. She was genuinely interested in making sure I had the best experience, which made it that much better. Plus, they stay open much later than most spas. I'm so glad I went to Erika's spa and will definitely be back!

What a great find in downtown Columbus! The staff is very welcoming and the salon space is beautiful. It's not a snooty, crowded place like some of the large, well-known places in the suburbs can be, but certainly could accomodate a prom or wedding crowd. It is just right on every level. I had a flame massage, a mani-pedi and a hair conditioning treatment and style. It's like being transported to NYC because they have lots of products and treatments that aren't available anywhere else. The flame massage was an aromatherapy treatment where they melt an essential oils candle. It smelled great, the oil was warm and relaxing, plus you keep the candle to take home and use again. I also got to try thier Shu Eumura product line for a special hair treatment "ceromony" ...so much fun to get to know the staff, and get pampered in a comfortable yet oh so chic environment!

I recently moved to Columbus from the East Coast and a friend sent me here. I was blown away! Plucked from Manhattan - sophistication mixed with historical chic is super cool. Staff is great, always friendly and extremely accomodating with my schedule. I get weekly mani/monthly pedis here and my feet and hands have never been is such great shape! I've also started working with Erika to correct some issues with my face. I saw results after the first facial! Erika's knowledge and experience is bar none, the best in the business. She listens to your conerns and goals and customizes a program to meet your needs. Try the all natural, organic facials. You'll never have to go to a needle or knife!!!

I visited the spa for the first time last week and was amazed! When I walked in I was greeted by a warm atmosphere and a friendly face! The stylist and nail tech were ready for me when I got there, no waiting!!! I felt so welcomed and at home, I'll be a live long client.

I recently started going to this spa for a pedicure, manicure and waxing. I can, with confidence, say that this is the BEST spa experience I have had in quite some time. I love coming to this spa as the atmosphere is comfortable, warm and friendly. Everyone is so nice and there is no false pretense. I have purchased gift certificates for my friends, as I want them to have the same wonderful experience that I have had. Everyone is very professional and really good at what they do. My personal opinion is that Erika gives the BEST pedicures. If you want a wonderful, professional, relaxing, and authentic spa experience, than Erika Taylor Urban Spa is right for you.

I have been a client of Erika's for years. She gives the best manicures and pedicures that I have ever received. I recently went to one of her stylists named Zoe for a permanent straightening treatment. I am in love with my hair for the first time in my life and I'm 42! The space is gorgeous and the staff is professional.

Erika Taylor Urban Spa is hands down the best spa in Columbus. It is the most inviting spa I have encountered; I like that the spa is very size-friendly and comfortable. The customer service is outstanding and all of the services are amazing. When you enter the spa, you automatically feel special; the spa decor is beautiful, sleek, and modern. The owner, Erika Taylor, and her staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about all products and services they offer. You are always greeted with smiling faces as they walk you back to the relaxation rooms. From my monthly spa manicures and spa pedicures, I can ALWAYS count on an enjoyable experience. Erika personalizes each service based upon what is right for the customer. This personalization is lacking from other area spas where the attitude is "get 'em in and get 'em out." At the Urban Spa, I always come out feeling rejuvenated and energized. I never feel rushed and I never feel like I spent too much money on a service. I highly recommend this spa to all of my friends and family, and I can't wait to try out the new facials Erika has added to the menu of services. I HIGHLY suggest trying Erika Taylor's Urban Spa--you will not be disappointed.

I don't even know where to start. I have been to several spas and salons in the greater Columbus area and I can't seem to get away from the owner of this place. I think I have seen her working at every spa and salon in German Villiage at one time or another. I honestly have not returned to some of these salons simply because she makes me so uncomfortable. First, she talks wayyyyyy too much, and her one sided conversations are usually centered around complaining about or making fun of the client that she finished right before me. I wonder what she says about me after I leave. I can't believe she has bounced around to yet another salon. But, on the up side, it looks like I will be able to go back to some of the other salons I haven't been to in a while because I know she no longer works there. She does do a good nail service, but it's not worth having to listen to her talk negatively about the clients that pay her good money to be mocked and berated. In one sentence... Stay away from Erika with a K.

I have been to many salons/spas in different states and here in Ohio. This is by far my favorite. The staff was professional and welcoming. I felt so comfortable that I didn't want to leave and I love my new hair style.This was the first time that I didn't go home and restyle it. I can't wait to go back!
