I was greeted at the door, taken to a nice waiting area and offered a beverage. The waiting area, bathroom and massage room were very well kept. The therapist was a few minutes late but apologized for 'the tardiness'. However, the massage did not extend past the original time which was 50 minutes, this included the time it took me to get changed out of my clothes. Therefore, the actual massage time was probably closer to 35 or 40 minutes. When asked if enough pressure was applied, I requested a little deeper, which the therapist complied but it was still not quite deep enough. It was more like a hard rub than a massage. Additionally, my feet, hands, neck, face or head were not massaged. I've been to a handful of massages previously, maternity and non-maternity, and in all of them these areas were massaged. The therapist was very nice and professional but not aggressive enough. Overall, the experience was disappointing. Given I am 39 weeks pregnant and experiencing lower back pain, I was hoping to have these kinks worked out but they were not really touched or concentrated on even though discussed when asked how I was feeling.

Top of the line spa
I was there Feb 14, 2012 and it was the best time I ever had @ a spa....I was so stressed out @ that time an when I left I felt like I was walking on a cloud... Esra has magic hands she made so relaxed took all of my stress away!

Overall I was not impressed with this spa. The atmosphere was not extraordinary and the services were typical. I received a mediocre massage that was not worth the price. I would probably never visit again.

SpaFinder Accepted only on 1st vist
I was disappointed to hear they only accept the SpaFinder gift cards for customers if it is their first visit to the spa. I was looking to switch spas to a place closer to my home and I have quite a few spa finder gift cards. I thought it was very unfortunate to hear this policy. If a spa is going to accept the gift cards it should not have strings attached. Disappointing as this is a really nice spa but I may not be back for this reason.

Calming and comfortable
3000 BC in Chestnut Hill offers its guests a wide range of treatments, but add to that expertise, ambiance, and a knowledgeable staff...plus they are friendly! No snobby staff here...thank goodness. Go. Relax. Feel great.

Awesome Facial and Spa Pedicure!
My first spa visit ever was for a spa pedicure and facial at 3000 BC in Chestnut Hill. What a fabulous experience! Pedicures in the regular nail salons DO NOT compare to what I experienced here with Wendy. She's the best. I was so relaxed and soothed by my facial with Heather that the time just seemed to fly by. I was glowing when she was finished. She is awesome. 3000 BC is a beautiful sanctuary. It's remarkably clean and the staff is courteous and friendly. I'm sorry I waited so long to try the spa experience. I now go a couple of times a month.
