About Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol
Perched amid a nature reserve in the Austrian Alps, Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol is a grand and spacious setting where visitors enjoy fresh alpine air and picture-postcard views of the Tyrol region. The elegant hotel, which opened in 1985, offers numerous summer and winter outdoor activities, as well as fine dining and breathtaking vistas. A highlight is its sprawling spa, one of the largest in the Alps. It is staffed by an international team of professionals offering a full range of massages, facials, body treatments, and baths, including specialty treatments for men, teens, and children.
There are 6 restaurants and a winter garden within the hotel, as well as a restaurant in the spa that serves healthy locally-sourced cuisine. The resort and its environs boast a range of recreational activities, including golf, tennis, swimming, archery, hunting, and fishing. In winter, guests enjoy skiing at nearby slopes and taking horse-drawn sleigh rides and snowshoeing tours; summer brings hunting, fishing, bicycling, and hiking on the 400 miles of trails accessible directly from the property. There are also several Austrian villages nearby for shopping and sightseeing. A host of specialized programs and the Kids' Club keep children and teens entertained and active.

At close to 54,000 square feet, Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol's spa is an expansive, elegant retreat for rejuvenation and respite. A Roman-style marble-floored hallway leads into a large reception area, decorated in cool creams and golds, and then downstairs to the sauna and relaxation areas. More than half of the 30 treatment rooms sport views of the surrounding mountains, as does the fireside relaxation room. All guests have unlimited access to the indoor-outdoor panoramic pool, an indoor saltwater pool with underwater sound, Jacuzzi pools, and a pick of saunas--from the separate women's and men's areas to the cozy Tyrolean sauna village with a Kneipp stream and various baths and grottos scented with infusions that change daily. A newly equipped fitness center features cardio equipment and Pilates Reformers.
Close to 15 facials and 40 body treatments focus on all-over health and beauty. Spa therapy techniques include thalassotherapy, special baths, classic and medical massage, sound therapy physiotherapy, natural healing and anti-aging procedures, and internal medicine consultations. The exotic pantai luar method, for example, uses a heated poultice made of choice herbs and limes to activate the body's skin-repair function. Inspired by ancient Turkish cleansing rituals, the hammam treatment combines a warm steam bath, stimulating head and foot massage, and balsamic palm-bark foam massage. Between rituals guests are wrapped in warm towels and drink peppermint tea in the private hammam suite decorated with a starry sky ceiling.
