Wonderful Spa - Amazing Massage
By MarkS | November 18, 2011

Last Monday I experienced the most wonderful NY Spa service for an executive with a bad back. The last 9 weeks I've been dealing with terrible sciatica pain that has disabled me and prevented me from making my regular visits to our NY office. I had an important meeting to attend, and a celebratory dinner in the evening. I knew my condition would not allow me to perform such a long day without incredible pain, so I asked my assistant to find a spa where I could receive a deep tissue massage customized to my back issue and be provided with a room to relax. The Surrey Spa was her answer. What a great choice! Christie greeted me warmly and made me comfortable with a cold drink while I waited for the room to be ready. Within minutes I was escorted into the room and shown the infinity tub, steam shower and changing wardrobe. I immediately took a dip in the tub that had great ergonomics and was super comfortable. Then Nicole greeted me for my massage and she was a truly professional therapist. She knew exactly what parts of my body needed attention. The massage was amazing. After the treatment, I again used the tub and steam shower and walked out of the spa as a new man, relieved of my pain and ready to enjoy my evening event.

I was beyond pleased with this place. From the friendly people, the satisfying service, and serenity of it all. Really great place and exactly what a spa should be like. This place is now going to be my regular.

Decadent Spa Experience

After a nap and soak in the tub I headed down to the spa for the Koto massage. What a beautiful spot with lots of sparkle and super stylish decor! While the spa does not have a huge facility it is perfect for the guest who wants to make the most of the decadent guest rooms and sneak down for a treatment of two . . . very discreet and intimate. The massage was truly a treat too. The therapist moved in a rythmic motion that was unlike anything I have ever experienced . . . but still soothing and relaxing. After I hit the lobby bar for some delicious chardonnay and blissful reflection on the experience. The Surrey is the place to be for a hip and fabulous spa get-a-way. You can't beat the location or the hotel and staff.

Spa Luxury

Steps away from Central Park, magnificent museums, Madison Avenue (the Rodeo Drive of NY), life does not get any more exhilerating. Wonderful staff, superb restaurant (where you can still eat well and lose weight), completely renovated. You will feel pampered and surrounded by the most exciting activities and sites the Big Apple has to offer. Do not miss this lovely, enchanting hide-a-way from the concrete jungle where many NYC spas are located. This is a GEM.
