About Aphrodite Spa & Salon
Aphrodite Aesthetics Spa & Salon wants to gracefully fill clients' needs and desires with spa experiences that comfort the body, elevate the spirit, and enhance well-being. This elegant spa is furnished with custom-made European furniture, artwork, and crystal chandeliers with aroma oil scents and soft classical music throughout the facility and flowers accenting the reception area. There are four treatment rooms and services include massage, body treatments, facials, nail care such as manicures and pedicures, special occasion makeup application, and permanent makeup. The spa features signature offerings such as The Illuminating Facial, which is meant to restore a healthy glow to the skin while balancing pigmentation and protect against further discoloration, and all-natural manicures and pedicures that incorporate fresh/organic fruit. Aphrodite Aesthetics is also a full-service salon offering cuts, color, extensions and treatments at their three hair stations. Spa packages are tailored to bridal parties and events like Valentine's Day, girls' night outs, birthdays, and anniversaries are offered.

I got an hour massage and a mani. I loved them both! The women who work there are very kind and knowledgable. The massage therapist gave me the best massage I have had in a very long time! She was able to relieve my neck and shoulder tension, using a good firm pressure, while keeping me relaxed. The young lady who did my nails did a great job! I love the shellac! Definitely will recommend this spa to friends and family!

This is by far the best place to get your hair done and to have a nice and relaxing massage, and that's hard to find these days. I love the decorations, I love the smell; it's cozy and makes you feel like you fit in no matter what. I love the staff, but most of all, I love their services. I have been there several times and everytime I have been here, starting from the first time, I have felt cherished and like they truly want me to look my best. And in the end, I do. I had gone to another salon and got my hair done and they ruined my hair, I decided to come here and asked if they could attempt to fix it. They didn't just fix it, they made my hair a masterpiece. So I decided to come back and get a massage, thinking it wouldn't be that great because they can't be good at two things...Boy was I wrong. I went in feeling stiff, I left floating. I was so happy with my experience I got a facial, I was literally glowing after. I'm not sure what else there is to say about this place. It is my haven and I am so happy I have found this treasure :) Can't wait to go back!!

I had my first visit at Aphrodite spa and salon and had the most relaxing visit! All the employees were very generous and nice. I felt welcomed as soon as I walked Iin. The best employee there was Emily. She was such a sweetheart and did a fantastic job with my hair. I am definitely going to refer this spa and salon to others.

My sis booked a spa birthday for mom , we had a blast , all the 10 of us booked for massages , facials , mani , pedi plus we had lunch & cake ! Every service we had was perfect , we finalized this with our hair & make up to surprise the guys to meet us for dinner ! We still talk about till now , this spa is great with the staff with all , don't trust the bad reviews , it must be a competitor , this place have class & excellent quality service.

So this was my first time here, my friend bought me a gift certificate and I loved it! I got a massage and it was great. I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and she did a great job of alleviating some of my headaches that occurred that day. I will be coming back! Great place - recommend it for sure.

Hola, I have been going to Aphrodite Spa & Salon for about 2 years now and I love it! They have an amazing staff and do a fantastic job of catering to their cliental. The staff is always concerned about you and making sure you are doing well through treatments - I have had my hair colored, cut, and styled through them, facials (The sugaring is amazing! It removes hair and makes your skin look AMAZING with a glow), and stress relief massage. I work in customer service myself and if anything the owner of the business makes sure you are happy. If you are not satisfied bring it to her attention she only wants the best for her clients. I know this because I have seen it over the last 2 years- she is serious about her and her staffs' work. Seriously, they do such a great job that I have people that will come up to me while shopping and compliment me! Some of which I find out are hairdressers and tell me to let her know she did good! *By the way I have amazingly long and thick hair so to me it was imperative to find someone who understands what I want and that I could trust to give me great results.* I totally recommend this to anyone who is looking for a high end luxurious salon.

I have had a few manicures done by the young ladies at this salon and I have been very happy with the with the quality. I am very hard on my nails as I work with my hands all day (I even use them to remove staples, not to mention doing dishes and other household chores), and the polish/shellac endures well. If "Megan" felt that her mani/pedi or whatever she had done was SOOOO bad, why didn't she say something while she was at the salon? I have always been satisfied with my manicures. I know for a fact if the polish chips sooner than it should, they will glady fix the nail at no charge. The salon is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. They stand behind their services. I will continue to have my nails done by these ladies. I have also had my hair colored to cover up the gray ones and it always looks completely natural, even my friends can't tell. I hope to eventually use some of their other services. As with any type of service industry business, not all the customers will be satisfied, but the young ladies at this salon always strive to do just that.

I have never been to a place quite like this. Most places you walk in it's loud and people do not necessarily pay attention to that fact that you are there. When I walked in it was so calm, and there was somebody at the desk to greet me right away. I was taken into a private room, where there was a fruit plate waiting for me. I had a wonderful pedicure, and even got shellac for the first time on my nails! (which I recommend everyone to try) The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. I will return quite often!!!!

That is what a patron leaving the spa said to me as I was arriving - followed by, "I have an event tonight -- I've got to get this polish off !!!" Her nails looked ridiculous! As if she had let some children apply Barbie nail polish to them !!!!! As I was also booked for nail services, and it was my first (and last!) visit to the spa, I asked at the front desk about the nail tech. Convinced she was certified, I gave it a try. Seriously, it was the WORST mani/pedi I have EVER had, INCLUDING when my daughters used their Barbie nail polish on me!!! I got thinking about their reviews -- which is why I went there in the first place............. don't you think it is strange #1) that they have so MANY reviews compared to every other spa listed and #2) isn't it strange that 99.8% of those reviews give ALL 5 STARS -- in EVERY catagory ???!!!!! hmmmm......... I think something is fishy !!!!! Other than the woman leaving when I arrived, I didn't see another customer the whole time I was there -- weird ! Your money would be better spent buying a bottle of good quality nail polish and doing it yourself !!!

Just to give some background info, I live in Ferndale where there is at least 5 salons in a 1 mile radius. Not counting the nail salons and waxing studios. I came in for my second mani-pedi on Friday and absolutely enjoyed the experience! Well worth the 25 minute drive. I could go somewhere five minutes from my home and pay only $30 for a mani-pedi, but I would rather pay more and have a much better experience. Every time I've come in, the salon is in tip-top shape, super clean with absolutely no "salon smell". The staff is ALWAYS attentive to my needs. This is my new favorite place where I can go for a couple of hours and just let the stress melt away.

All these positive reviews must be written by the staff !!!!! I SPLURGED and bought 4 gift certificates for my girlfriends after helping my family and I through chemo - WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!! Seriously, my 9 year old can apply nail polish better than the nail "professional" at the spa. Blindfolded !!!! I am not kidding !!!!! The massage was ok. While there we were THE ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THE PLACE AND THE PHONE DID NOT RING ONCE !!!!! ON A SATURDAY !!!!! DO NOT TRUST ALL THESE GREAT REVIEWS !!!! I did and I regret it!!! I will never make a purchase based on reviews alone again !!!!!!

Aphrodite SPA was excellent, in every way imaginable! The staff is superb, starting from Susu, down. I got my hair done there, even though I also was on a tight schedule, the girls worked on me and my hair is fantastic. They also offer the BEST massages, and mani/pedis. I can't wait to go back to Aphrodite SPA. The staff takes care of you, and truly wants your happiness. I would recommend Aphrodite SPA to anyone who asks in a heartbeat.

I called to see about getting an appointment, and was told that they would come in to accomodate ME. I was on a tight schedule so that was a great start. I found this spa by searching Spafinder after another spa wouldn't call me back. Susu welcomed me and said she would be happy to help me plan a perfect girls day out for my sister's birthday. She asked me my budget and arranged for a full day of relaxation. I was outdone by the service! Everyone was so nice from the time I walked in the door. This low key spa is like paradise when you walk in. the massage was like heaven, the foot rub was just awww, and the facial on the heated bed was like floating on clouds. We have already told so many friends about this place and plan to come back ASAP! I am so glad that other spa never called me back, because I think I found my new addiction and favorite get away!!

Customer Service has been great, nice staff; they try hard to please. I booked the body scub and swedish massage - I expected an exfoliation , rinse then a relaxing massage. It was actually a light massage that used a with an abrasive massage cream. OK as a body scrub - not comfortable or relaxing as a massage. My 14-day manicure peeled after 1 day, they gladly offered another free service. The prices are good so I might try a basic massage or manicure.

I recieved the Anti Aging Facial. I expected much better from a spa with many excellent reviews. The atmosphere was nice, the staff was nice, but the actual facial itself was horrible. So much so that they discounted my facial when the front desk heard about my awful experience. A facial is supposed to include a sort of massage of the face, and vigorous cleansing and scrubs. My esthetician just lightly washed my face 10 times with some creams and a towel, nothing more. In fact, when she was finished, I went to the bathroom and saw my face horribly specked with bits of the mask...so she didn't even wash my face well. The massage of my arms, legs, feet and hands was not a massage at all. She merely lightly rubbed oils on my skin. I also was not given the full 90 minutes advertised, only 60. However, the service was so bad I was ready to get up and leave in 30. Several times during my facial my esthetician spent lengthy times rummaging through droors and shelves for supplies, while I was lying on the bed wishing she would hurry up. With all of this "dead" time, I felt more time was spent looking for supplies and setting up than actually spent on my face. This woman obviously did not know her craft. Worse facial EVER.

Man.... The first step i took into this place i was mesmerized by the setup within. This place is as luxurious as a spa can get. President Obama can enter and feel right at home like the white house. Aphrodite susu is her name , all my circle of friends they keep saying her name , ! I booked my self an appointment & went , the spa is very clean , classy , it's like your walking in to paradise ! Susu examined my skin & asked me with her soft spoken musical voice , what is it am looking to accomplish & I replied , I want my skin to look like yours ! I am on the schedule every ten days my skin never looks as good as now , I'm so happy with my healthy glowing skin ! I recommend this spa very highly , they offer great quality service & products ! I was very impressed, everyone was very nice to me on the phone and when I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiles and warmth. On the day of service I had a 1 hour massage my therapist was great I was extreemly nervous being my first time. Am on the scheduel monthly for my facial, same day i touch my roots & have a deep conditionning treatment , my hair never looked this healthy, i got my boy friend also and he loves it for one stop , he gets his hair cut ,his back waxed & facial . I can say this is the best quality place for our money because they do a great job and best result.

Few days ago I went to aphrodites and had the most amazzzzzzing massage and skin treatments ever. The spa was stunning and very well decorated too!!! It was very exclusive and there staff was very enjoyable ILL definitely will be back soon!!!!!

My friend and I went in for a massage, facial, and pedicure. My friend also got her hair cut that same day. They were amazing!!! I felt like a queen. They did nothing but pamper us by using the finest products on our skin, offering the most delicious cookies, and the best tea! The massage was unlike anything I have ever experienced, I was so relaxed. The facial helped to hydrate my skin and the pedicure was absolutely perfect. This spa was overall remarkable.

I spent time in thinking about how to review Aphrodite Aesthetics and my subsequent perfect rating-I am a VERY HARSH and detailed person by nature and have an extensive history with spas in general. I do alot of travelling and have a hefty workout routine as an professional bodybuilder/weightlifter with previous Olympic competitive experience in my youth. Needless to say, consistent, accurate and targeted deep tissue massage is necessary for when I travel on the circuit for shows that I compete in. My experience with deep tissue massage is extensive and have had the best experiences in the spas of Las Vegas and other spas worldwide
Aphrodite afforded me the same professional deep tissue massage as an equivalent with any of the great spas of Las Vegas hotels. The atmosphere was soothing and refreshments were plentiful. The staff was highly professional and well versed in massage techniques. Their service menu and variety was extensive with great care taken in providing the greatest quality of services. As this spa is relatively new (from discussing the spas history with the spa owner-a gracious and splendid woman by the name of Su Su) I found many other various beautification services with a complete menu targeted for women. I feel comfortable as one of their few male clientele and encourage other men to visit Aphrodite Aesthetics as I will definitely return to maintain my workout regimen-as a side note, my primary workout gym is The Sports Club which shares the same parking lot.
I HIGHLY recommend Aphrodite Aesthetics and commend their strong business model to maintain a healthy business during Michigan's harsh economic atmoshpere-this being said, they OBVIOUSLY know what they're doing.

super service , very friendly and respectfull , i had a facial with susu , shes the best by far ,very knowlegableand soft spoken, the pedicure it was awsome they use a disposable bowel and that was amazing !the spa is very artistic and relaxing ,you must try the organic tea they serve loved it , it felt like i went on a vacation . I recommend this spa highlighy, my boyfriend and i planning a spa day very soon .

I truly loved every bit of it , my girl friend and i had the best time on our first valantine , we have been visiting alot of spa just to relax and injoy our time together , Linda booked our visit we had a facial and a massage while we soaked our feet in the pedicure bowl , they use the disposable for each client they have a new one , the water so warm and got aroma sent , with fresh flowers peddel , it was a breath taking, they had for us strawberry dipped with chocolet and the frte tea , the display was like a 5 stars hotel , we had the best time and we recomend this place only for someone with class . it is a great excperiance.

I had the best facial ever my skin is very sensetive , my face didnt have any reaction , not red or beaten up like the facials i got in the past. After i had a massge it was so relaxing , the music is so nice too, after my massge i had a pedicure which they have a disposable bowl they despose of it after each client , i thought that was the highlight of my spa day. The staff is very knowlledgable and very profissional and organaized, i would recomend this spa highley, its a great experiance.

I've been to many spas all over the country and was very impressed by this spa. The staff was so sweet and were very experienced. I asked them all sorts of questions regarding my treatments and their answers were very concise and up to date.
