About New Awakening Salon and Medical Day Spa
New Awakenings Salon and Medical Day Spa of St. Petersburg, Florida, aims to create a "new awakening" for each client by meeting their cosmetic and relaxation needs with a range of spa services and offerings available through their medical day spa. The 3,000-square-foot medical spa has nine treatment rooms and an upscale, yet comfortable Moroccan-style design aesthetic.
Spa services include massage, body wraps and scrubs, facials, peels, permanent makeup, spray tanning, hand and foot treatments such as manicures and pedicures, and waxing, as well as a range of hair care offerings like precision cut and styling, coloring and styling, perms, straightening, hair extensions, and braiding. Men can indulge in services tailored to them, like the Men's Deep Pore Cleansing Facial, beard and mustache trimming, The Men's Escape, a 60-minute treatment that features a Deep Pore Cleansing Facial, straight shave, and a hot steam shower, and the Men's Retreat, which includes a straight shave and a hot steam shower.
The spa offers medical services such as Botox® Cosmetic, Restylane®, the Obagi Nu-Derm Skincare System, laser hair removal, and Latisse® eyelash enhancers. Clients can also participate in the spa's weight-loss clinic where they will be monitored by a doctor, through a regimen of diet, exercise, supplements, and prescription diet aids.
A variety of packages are available including custom wedding packages for bridesmaids, grooms, groomsmen, flower girls, mother-in-laws, and mothers-of-the-brides. The Beautiful Princess package will provide a special day for the younger set (ages four to ten), with a manicure and pedicure, haircut or up-do, age-appropriate makeup application, refreshments, and a snack. The spa provides refreshments like wine, champagne, green tea, flavored waters, juices, organic coffee, and espresso with many of the packages.

The staff here is amazing and after every visit I feel like I've been on vacation. The girls bend over backwards to accommodate a hectic schedule and they will tell you about products that will be beneficial, not just sell you something because they have excess in stock. Incredible discounts, great hair cuts and fantastic facials make this worth the 40 minute drive.

Pretty Spa, NO Customer Service!By NetteM | March 15, 2012
I went in last week to get a Shellac manicure for my vacation. The nail tech (Lynette) suggested that I get the gel polish instead. She went on and on about how wonderful it was and that she was the only one in the salon who knew how to apply it "since nobody else will read the booklet". (Which should have warned me that there is no REAL training). This gel polish is supposed to last up to 4 weeks; it has been ONE week today. I haven't done dishes or anything else that might be damaging, I've been on vacation! The polish is peeling back at my cuticles, bubbled up on the sides, and is now starting to peel away at the front of my nails. When I called to let her know what was happening, she never offered to have me come in to have the polish taken off, just said, "just soak your nails in acetone for like 10 minutes". Are you kidding me?!?! THIS is what I paid FIFTY dollars for? Buyers beware. You can have a pretty building, but without proper training and customer service, it's all worthless!

I've been going to New Awakenings for about 5 months and have bi-weekly appointments with Ana. I LOVE this place. I had a horrible high-lighting experience at a local hair school and my hair was in major need of a makeover. I was greeted with an espresso and every time since then I've had a special treat to start my appointment. Once in Ana's chair she explains every step of the process before and during the apoointment. My hair is currently healthier looking and feeling and it's because of Ana. I've yet to try other services that the spa offers, but I've never seen an unhappy client. Take some time and check it out, the moment you walk in you'll know you made the best decision plus... you deserve it!

I went to have a facial, and I loved it! Debbi was my esthetician, she put me at ease right away, I fell asleep it was so relaxing, after she told me about some products that would really help my skin, I actually saw a difference after 2 weeks, and they were no more money that I have spent at dillards and macys for years!! and never saw any results. I purchased a Groupon for a mani/pedi because the price was so reasonable I couldn't pass it up. I had no expectations really, but was amazingly surprised and delighted. Not only is the spa absolutely beautiful, peaceful and luxurious in an artistic style, but the products themselves were top of the line--Pevonia, etc. which you normally do not see in this area. Plus, the entire staff is working hard to build a solid business. The owner's vision is to provide services that leave people walking away feeling like they've never had a better service in their life--and in today's rushed and crazy world, what a wonderful vision to bring to life. The location is a little ways away from downtown St. Pete, but well worth the drive and the building is in a completely safe location.

I booked a four layer facial for noon, and wasn't seen until 12:45. I had another appointment after this one (with my wedding coordinator to review plans) that I ended up being late to as a result.
Kimberly did appologize, upgrade and discount my service, and rush me through my one hour appointment in about 45 minutes.
While I appreicate this, I felt rushed and stressed out upon leaving instead of relaxed. Additionally we were supposed to establish a plan to have my skin glowing by my wedding, but we didn't have time.
Upon seeing my less than stellar review, the owner cancelled my second appointment which was supposed to be the free peel they advertise as their Spa Finder special when a four layer facial is purchased. (False advertising?!)
I gave 5 stars for Service Quality b/c my facial did make a difference in my skin, and felt wonderful. I downgraded atmosphere and staff expertise because I felt rushed, frustrated, and stressed - not happy and relaxed. And because their staff is unwilling to make a bad first experience into an excellent second experience.

I recently visited the New Awakenings Spa after being referred to them by a friend. I have been to SEVERAL Salon & Spa's in the last 2 years, as this is by far the BEST!. After being greeted and provided a tour of the beautiful spa I was pampered by Kimberly, the Esthetician who is also exremely friendly and makes everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. I had the best facial I have ever experienced, as well as the most relaxing! I will definitely go back and will glad to refer this Spa to ALL of my family & Friends.

Having traveled the world, I have visited many spas, but New Awakenings by far is the one at the top of my list. I recently visited for a couples massage and I was no less than impressed. The spa is absolutely beautiful and they have an extensive line of products available. They have a great range of spa services, and the staff is wonderful! Our massage therapists were GREAT and we both felt amazing afterward. We were pampered from the moment we walked in the door. One of the nice touches I found extra sweet was that we were treated to a bottle of champagne, delicious strawberries with whipped cream, and a beautiful orchid to take home! What a great way to celebrate our anniversary! I can't wait to be able to treat the two of us to another great massage or any other service with the staff at New Awakening!!

I visited this location after finding it on spafinder and I have to say I was really impressed. I was given a complete tour of the facility and it is absolutely beautiful. I had salon services and I felt pampered the entire time. I have very difficult hair so I am rarely pleased after a salon visit but I walked out smiling! Walking through the door I knew this was the place for me! I was helped right away by the receptionist in a very warm manner. Once checked in I was greeted by Kimberly the Esthetican doing my facial.
Kimberly went over all my skincare needs and asked what I wanted to achieve in todays and future visits. Then I was given some refreshments by Ana, the owner herself! Ana gave me a tour of the beautiful Spa and Salon. I was blown away at how amazing everything looked! My facial was out of this world! Kimberly applied products to my hands and feet with hot stones while the mask was applied on my face and felt wonderful. My skin was glowing! I booked another session in two weeks with Kimberly and also a hair appointment with Erika and my son's hair with Paul. I can't wait to come back!! A HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE AT NEW AWAKENINGS

I've been to Spas all over the world, and I am thrilled to have found New Awakenings in my home town of St Pete! I was having problems with skin breakouts during the humid summer months, and after using the products recommended by Debbie, my skin looks amazing and clear!
The facility is impeccably clean! The staff is so friendly and welcoming, upon arrival I got delicious cucumber water!
They are always running really great promotions and specials so you get a quality "big city" spa at a "small town price". I'm going back for facial and body scrub and I'm dying to try permanent makeup! A+++++

Try New Awakenings salon and medical day spa, and I am sure you will be ecstactic with your treatment and the staff. I started off slowly, with a facial. Anna gave me a tour and lunch! The facility is beautiful, and I felt very comfortable with her and the answers to all of my questions. So, I returned for botox and another facial with Debbie. She is very experienced and wonderful, and I am thrilled with the results. In fact, my skin looks so radiant that I will be going back to Debbie for facials on a regular basis. And I also love the anti-aging products that they carry. It's so nice to look as young as you feel!! Thank you ladies at New Awakenings.

I recently visited the New Awakenings Spa after being referred to them by a friend. I was leery at first as I have not had a Perm/Relaxer in my hair in two years and was not sure if they would be able to do much with my hair. WOW...was I wrong. After being greeted by Erica and provided a tour of the beautiful spa I was pampered and the AMAZED at how beautiful, shiny, healthy and silky my hair was after a wash, cut and blowdry from Erica. She did a wonderful job!!
Anna, the owner is also very friendly and makes everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. I will definitely go back and will be telling all my friends about my new found favorite place.

I had a two hour massage with their male massagist and it was delightful! Simply relaxing and amazing... He did a FANTASTIC job! My husband gave me a gift certificate for Spa Finder over 2 months ago. I'm new to St. Pete and rely on the internet and customer reviews in deciding who I want to do business with. Most of the spas near me had sketchy reviews or lame websites. Also I'm busy so when I decide I want a haircut, I want it that day!
I called the New Awakening Salon at 10am and asked for an appointment that day. I was booked in with Erika at 1:30. When I arrived Debbie, who is one of the estheticians, gave me a glass of wine and a tour. Anna, the owner, gave me a complimentary hair masque, Erika cut and styled my hair......one of the best haircuts I've ever had and after a wonderful pedicure. Anna served Dominican coffee on a silver platter with fruit and nuts.
These women are professional, warm and friendly. I spent the afternoon there but I feel like I've been going there for years. I can't wait to go back tomorrow for an "Awakening Facial" and a spray tan.
The New Awakening Salon is DELICIOUS!

From the point you enter, you are treated to an exquisite experience. The atmosphere (and wine) induces a relaxing mood. The service was magnificent. I literally fell asleep during the massage. I went to this spa and I felt like a QUEEN I have never been treated so good. The staff is so wonderful and made you feel so welcome. I had been to other places but after visiting the NEW AWAKENING there's no other place for me. My hair I have gotten so many complaints on and the coloring of it and the cut they know what's the best for you. The pedicures are unbelievable so relaxing and last a long time. I can go in feeling down but come up uplifted in great spirits. Go once and you'll keep going back for more. It's a beautiful facility and so calming and relaxing.

I am always pleased when I visit New Awakenings. Not only is my experience while in the salon relaxing and enjoyable, but the effects after, are long lasting and noticable. My hair is healthier and my skin improves with every visit. The ladies are all so nice and attentive and really seem to know their craft. When I visit, it doesn't matter if I'm there for a full day or to fix a chipped nail, I am always treated like a V.I.P. The facility is so beautiful I would recommend it to anyone!

I had the PLEASURE of discovering NEW AWAKENINGS SPA and let me tell you it is incredible.
First the facility is BEAUTIFUL- everything is totally new and clean. The staff is also wonderful- from the first person who met me to all the lovely ladies who did my treatments- Excellent , Excellent Excellent. All were very knowledgeable and answered my questions without hesitation. It was so nice.
I have done both hair and skin treatments at New Awakenings and the products they use are top of the line. The staff knew the product lines very well and helped me choose what treatments were best FOR ME. I can honestly say they were and have been 100% right every time!! My skin is glowing and I am getting compliments galore!! My hair is also much healthier and has a new shine to it that I attribute to better quality products here at New Awakenings.
I will continue to to tell ALL my friends about New Awakenings Spa and have bought several of them gift certificates for treatments. ( They LOVED it)
It is routine to be served a glass of wine or a cappuccino while waiting or during a treatment so be prepared to be totally, totally spoiled !!
