The 13,000-square-foot, all-encompassing property comprises an inn, spa, salon and shop, all with a focus on the rediscovery and renewal of inner beauty and wellness. Every spa treatment infuses energy healing and is performed by a team of massage “alchemists,” intuitive healers, stylists and aestheticians, and an apothecary, Chinese herbal-tonic elixir bar, flower essence bar and crystal bar provide numerous healing options. Exercise devotees can work out on a complimentary basis in the local gym, mere steps from the inn, or unwind with classes in the on-site yoga lounge. Ruby Room guests have access to Wicker Park Fitness, a 5,000-square-foot fitness center two doors down from the inn, as well as the on-property Yogaview studio, which holds more than 40 yoga and meditation classes weekly. The inn’s secret garden, complete with a labyrinth and waterfall, also provides a perfect setting for reflection and contemplation.

Adding to the boutique inn’s intimate vibe are eight guest rooms, which overlook city or garden views. Interiors are contemporary, yet feature charming details like crown molding, antiques and hardwood floors adorned with Oriental rugs. King-size beds are trimmed in goose-down pillow-top mattresses, 500 thread-count linens and patterned quilts, and bathrooms have marble and glass showers.

While the inn does not offer its own restaurant, nearby eateries suit every taste. Dining venues include Mana for vegan dishes; Bob San for sushi; and Prasino for fresh American fare. Carriage House serves southern comfort cuisine, while the Bedford showcases eclectic American meals.
