Great to relax and be pampered after a stressful day!

I have visited Bliss Chicago on three occassions for various services: mani/pedi, body scrub, and Blissage. I was able to book appointments by calling in on the same day (week nights), however the staff definitely recommends booking in advance especially for weekend appointments. The mani/pedi services are provided in the open area of Bliss Spa, but for spa treatments there is a cosy lounge in the closed area after the locker rooms that offers light refreshments. I was satisfied with the lockers, robe, and steam showers in the locker room. Each of the services I tried were amazing! The mani/pedi is par with other nail salons I have been to. My nail technician did a good job, and Bliss Spa offers a number of mani/pedi services to choose from. The body scrub and Blissage is why I rate this place 5 out 5. Each time, my masseuse was easy to talk to regarding what I wanted to get out of my spa treatment, and the scrub/massage itself was excellent. I have dermatitis and eczema (skin conditions), and the products used were delicate enough for my skin. Some of the best massages I have had were in world class spas in Thailand, and the Blissage matches up. I certainly plan on revisiting Bliss Spa and cannot wait for my next appointment!

It was nice to go to a spa I had never visited before. I had heard so many things about Bliss Spa and I wanted to check it out for myself. I have now gone for many manicures and pedicures. I think I have just about tried all of the hand and feet services. I will say I love the manis and pedis I just wish the seats that you sit in while receiving your service were a little bit more comfortable. The technician was awesome and if not for the spectacular services I received I would have only focused on the chair and complained the entire service. All in all Bliss Spa so far for me is a go. Try it for yourself:)

I randomly decided to go and get a massage49 at Bliss on Lakeshore Drive in Chicago. It was such a great massage and the lady who did it was amazing. I would go back 100% and make sure to see her again.

This spa was an amazing experience. I bought a spa package for my boyfriend not too long ago and he loved it. The person doing the massage was very attentive and focused on relieving the stress in my back and neck. I will 100% go back to this Spa!

From the moment you step in the glitzy W Hotel to enter, you know you're in for a treat. You step off the elevator and feel like you're in a space ship. The clean, fresh smell immediately relaxes you. Bliss, BY FAR, has always been my favorite! I had one minor "experience" with a bad wax that only lasted a couple days. I called and spoke to a manager who told me to wait a couple weeks, come back in and they'd do it over free of charge. That was worth it and definitely has had me coming back. Massages make you want to cry when your time is up...they're THAT good! Have had a facial with microderm that didn't turn out so good in the beginning. I had some burning under my tip area that eventually peeled. This now makes me bring it to any aesthetian's knowledge that I'm extra sensitive there. All in all I love BLISS!

Save your money

I went to Bliss for a milk and almond pedicure and was pretty disappointed. I arrived early and the technician didn't greet me to begin my pedicure until 15 minutes after my appointment time. That wouldn't have been such a big deal except for my service still ended on time so I lost the last 15 minutes of my treatment. The technician also had a horrible cough and was coughing non-stop throughout my entire treatment. I felt bad for her, but it really kind of ruined the experience. Wasn't relaxing at all. Also, I wasn't impressed with the atmosphere. The manicure/pedicure station is right in the reception area next to the check-in desk so it didn't feel like a spa to me. Just noisy and not relaxing. Additionally, the chairs were kind of uncomfortable. I complained about losing the 15 minutes so was given a free body butter -- which was nice. But overall, I would say, save your money. You can get an equivalent pedicure for a lot less money at a nail studio.

Great massage but.....

Fiirst the good - the Bliss 75 massage is an awesome way to destress and invorgate. It truly is 75 minutes of pure Bliss. Bliss products in the lockerroon were wonderful. However, utside of the treatment area, the rest of the spa was not what you'd expect for the money. Robes, while soft were stained. There's a reason for the rubber flip-flops - the floor could use a good cleaning and the steam shower had a mold problem. Most of the lockers were not functioning - it took 3 tries to find one Overall a great massage but the "spa" experience was lacking.

My husband & I were on a weekend get-away downtown and decided to get pampered @ Bliss. We both had a great experience. The massages were the best we ever had. Well worth the higher price tags! If your on the fence about going to Bliss, do it! You will not be sorry.
