  Millcroft Inn & Spa is located on a 100-acre estate, originally a 19th-century knitting mill, in the rolling hills of southern Ontario, one hour from Toronto. Remnants of the heritage building, such as the cascading waterfall that once powered the mill, remain intact, offering an old-world charm, and the quiet countryside setting provides a peaceful, secluded atmosphere.

  Awarded CAA/AAA Four Diamond ratings for both accommodations and dining, guests can enjoy fresh seasonal fare at the inn's signature restaurant. Guest rooms are housed in three separate buildings throughout the grounds, as is the full-service spa, which offers its own allure with holistically inspired treatments, a fireside lounge, and spa cuisine. Ample outdoor activities are available, and artists' studios and antique shops are within close proximity.

Housed in a separate building, the multi-level Millcroft Spa, Centre for Well-Being has an inviting vibe, complemented by its brick façade, warm color palettes, and contemporary, airy design. Vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, and views of the surrounding woodlands and meadows in the relaxation lounge add to the authentic feel.

The 9,000-square-foot spa has 11 treatment rooms, along with an infrared sauna, mani/pedi salon, and locker rooms with herbal steam areas and showers. Following treatments, guests can unwind on the outdoor terrace and in the healing garden, or enjoy a healthful spa lunch.

The spa's menu, a combination of classic and holistic treatments, includes the signature Japanese Ofuro Classic, which includes a body polish, Japanese bath with jets, and a cream application and the men's Malt & Barley Scrub and Soak, which comes complete with a beer.

In addition to its spa services, Millcroft Spa features a 612-square-foot fitness center. Yoga classes are offered Sunday mornings, and one-on-one yoga sessions with a personal trainer are available upon request. Exercise devotees can also take advantage of the two tennis courts. The spa's swimming pool is open for a dip year-round, while an additional outdoor pool is accessible during the warmer seasons.

Many activities on site and in the surrounding area invite guests to enjoy the lovely natural countryside backdrop. On offer are more than two-and-a-half miles of hiking, golf, horseback riding, and catch-and-release fishing (guests are asked to bring their own gear). For winter enthusiasts, there is ice skating on Shaw's Creek Mill Pond. Other experiences include culinary classes with the inn's chef.

Guest room interiors are distinct in design, though all are appointed with flat-screen TVs, sitting areas, and complimentary high-speed Internet access. Rooms in the Main Mill, the original knitting mill, overlook views of Millcroft's Mill Pond and Shaw's Creek Falls. The Manor House provides the most spacious of accommodations, many of which have large jetted tubs, while the two-story Croft units are designed chalet-style and feature patios, wood-burning fireplaces, heated floors, and in some cases, outdoor hot tubs.

At Main Mill restaurant, guests can dine on fresh, seasonal creations from award-winning chef Roberto Fracchioni. Open for lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, and Sunday brunch, the elegant restaurant offers diners views of the pond or waterfall. Menus, which include dishes like Pan Seared Skate and Rare Grilled Tuna, also emphasize natural, organic produce sourced from the region. Additional offerings include nutritious fare at Millcroft Spa and light options at Millcroft Lounge, where guests can gather for an aperitif or settle in for a nightcap.
