Given my short stay in the area & uncertainty of my schedule, I found the 24/7 online booking to be my original draw to the Skin & Nail Boutique. I was able to book a spa facial, deep tissue massage, & eyebrow waxing the night before. I was happy to find that the Skin & Nail Boutique is a small business and not a corporate cookie-cutter spa. In an ordinary commercial spa visit you may be greeted by a distracted/phony receptionist & ushered from one specialist to the next. At the Skin & Nail Boutique you're greeted by the owner with a smile & taken care of immediately. The massage therapist was incredibly knowledgable & even motherly. It's very sweet to have someone take an interest in your well-being, especially when it's known that you won't be a long-term customer. She was very thorough in the facial & helpful in identifying/treating the cause of my skin problems. I almost felt guilty at how hard she worked on the deep tissue massage. It was exactly what I was looking for. I left feeling immediately better. I have mildly arthritic hands & am amazed at how they feel almost 100% normal after the massage. The massage therapist & the owner were professional without being cold, very sweet women. I wish I were staying in the area!

I received a seaweed body wrap at this establishment and I am extremely happy with the results. Alisha was very professional and made me feel at home. Her facility is beautiful and a true place of relaxation. I will definitely use her services again.

i get a facial with Alisha about every 6 weeks and get the best I've ever had. my face feels great after instead of greasy like with others. she's made a nice shop and is a really nice person. Recommend!

Chemical Burns and short treatmentBy JamieV | September 5, 2011
I got the Spa Facial with the recommended Glycolic Treatment addition. The facial is supposed to be 60 min and the glycolic 15 minutes. Instead my entire time was less than 45 minutes. The worst part was the Glycolic Treatment. I have used at-home glycolic peels with no redness, and was hoping for a good result as my skin responds well, though I have to use the 10% 2-3 times a week to keep the results up. I think the my face was scrubbed excessively prior to the glycolic acid being applied, and the rough towel that was used to scrub it off contributed to the chemical burns I now have on my face. The solution was applied very unevenly as in some areas I have no redness and in others I have raw, weeping burns.
