  In the heart of the Sierra Nevada ski resort in southern Spain's province of Granada, the Melia Sol y Nieve blends an avant-garde design with classic hospitality. Tucked away at the base of the slopes, in the resort village of Pradollano, guests are 100 meters from the ski lifts.

  At the on-site Yhi Spa, guests indulge in therapeutic rituals that invigorate the senses while soothing the body after a day on the slopes. Not to be missed is the spa's hydrotherapy circuit, comprising swimming pools, Jacuzzis, an ice fountain, saunas, and more.

  The hotel's reservations team is happy to help guests arrange day trips to the historic city of Granada, and the beaches of the Costa Tropical are about an hour away, allowing guests the opportunity to ski and surf all in the same day. To inspire the senses and cultivate the soul, Yhi Spa at Melia Sol y Nieve provides a comprehensive offering of traditional and Ayurvedic-inspired treatments and wellness facilities. Natural light and Sierra Nevada sky views stream in from the sun terrace's glass pyramid, permeating the 2,500-square-meter spa, which has seven treatment rooms and a rejuvenating hydrotherapy circuit. Here, guests alternate between dips in the chromatherapy swimming pools, each with jet massagers, chromatherapy Jacuzzis, and hot and cold footbaths and moments in the floatarium, Scottish shower, and saunas. A hammam, or Turkish bath, and ice fountain also await spa-goers.

A good number of activities at the Melia Sol y Nieve cater to guests of all ages. Winter sports fans can challenge the hills (there are 92 kilometers of slopes and 430 snow cannons!), and can take advantage of ski instruction classes and fully equipped ski lockers. The resort's Extreme Sports and Activity Center, 500 meters from the hotel, features an ice rink, mini slalom with bike ski or chair ski, Russian sledges, and archery. Fitness enthusiasts also have the option of working

out in the 63-square-meter gym.
