The four-season Double Eagle Resort & Spa, Inc., is located in the Eastern Sierras at the base of Carson Peak amid rushing streams and soaring pines. Just 15 minutes from the eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park, the rustic resort offers a catch-and-release fly fishing pond, and miles of hiking and cycling trails, as well as a pack station, are within minutes of the 14.8-acre property. Four Alpine lakes within eight miles of the resort offer additional outdoor pursuits such as boating and fishing, and the area, which includes June Mountain and Mammoth Mountain, is known for its premier winter sports.
Guests can choose between private two-bedroom cabins with wood-burning fireplaces or stoves and luxury rooms with private whirlpool tubs, both of which share picturesque scenic views. The spacious Creekside Spa offers more than 50 treatments, and amenities include a full-service fitness center, treatment rooms with fireplaces, and a spa deck, where guests can enjoy the relaxing sights and sounds of the majestic mountains, pines, and streams.

The 15,000-square-foot Creekside Spa comprises nine treatment rooms with fireplaces, a fitness center, a 60-foot indoor pool and coed Jacuzzi, Vichy shower, and boutique. Additional amenities include men's and women's locker rooms, whirlpools, and eucalyptus steam rooms, where guests can relax before or after treatments.
The extensive spa menu offers more than 50 treatments, ranging from massage to facials to body therapies. Waxing and nail services are also available. The signature Massage for Two begins with a soothing aromatic soak in a private Victorian tub, followed by a 50-minute massage combing various techniques, and concludes with a glass of champagne or sparkling cider.

Travel Information
- The Mammoth Yosemite Airport is about a 20-minute drive away by car. Double Eagle is also easily accessible from the Reno International Airport, located about three hours from the resort.
- The resort is closed November 29 through December 13.
- Double Eagle has a few "pet" cabins available for those wishing to travel with their four-legged friends.
- June Lake enjoys all four seasons. Summer temperatures can reach up to about 95⁰ F (35⁰ C), while spring temps peak at approximately 55⁰ F (13⁰ C). Average autumn temperatures range from 50⁰ F-65⁰ F (10⁰ C-18⁰ C), while winter temps are around 20⁰ F to 35⁰ F (-7⁰ C-2⁰ C).

Accommodations include two-bedroom cabins and luxury rooms appointed with outdoor decks that make the most of mountain, forest, or pond views. Cabins come equipped with kitchens, wood-burning stoves or fireplaces, and patio furniture with barbecue, while luxury rooms feature private whirlpools, separate rain showers, and high-speed Internet access.
Dining options include Eagle's Landing Restaurant, which offers hearty entrées of steaks, fresh seafood, specialty salads, and more. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the restaurant reflects its rustic lodge ambience, with decor that includes woodland timber interiors, a wood-burning fireplace, and oversize windows offering magnificent views of the Eastern Sierra Mountains and Horsetail Falls. Healthy fare and vegetarian cuisine are available, and vegan diets can be accommodated upon request. The restaurant's saloon offers fine wines and aperitifs, and alfresco dining is available on the deck during the summer months.

Double Eagle resort and its surrounding region are a recreational playground, offering guests ample outdoor activities such as nature walks, boating, kayaking, and horseback riding, in addition to snowboarding and skiing during the winter months. Those interested in fly fishing can cast a line in the resort's trout-filled ponds, and the resort offers instruction by the hour.
The Creekside Fitness Center is a fully equipped sports center with a free-weight area, circuit training stations, cardiovascular exercise deck, and classes featuring spinning, yoga, aqua aerobics, and tai chi. Personal training is available upon request.
Eagle is located 15 minutes from Yosemite National Park. Other popular sightseeing spots include Mono Lake, Bodie Ghost Town, a former gold mining town, and Devil's Post Pile, a national monument of volcanic basalt columns.
