About Grand Hôtel Nordic Spa & Fitness by Raison d’Etre
History, tradition, and five-star service define the Grand Hôtel Stockholm, a city fixture in the heart of Stockholm since its 1874 debut. The Leading Hotels of the World property sits along the city's waterfront, affording stunning views of the Royal Palace and Old Town. Indoors, dazzling architecture such as the Spegelsalen, the hall of mirrors, and Vinterträdgården, the winter garden, provide a glimpse into Sweden's heritage. Guest accommodations consist of 300 uniquely designed rooms and suites, ranging from classic to contemporary.
Hotel guests have complimentary access to the Grand Hôtel Spa by Raison d'Etre. Derived from the French phrase "reason for being," the Raison d'Etre spa was ranked one of the ten best worldwide by Condé Nast Traveler's 2010 Hot List. Award-winning dining is also available.

Interiors of the Grand Hôtel Spa by Raison d'Etre, fashioned in soft hues of granite, ash, cream, and white, offset by waterfalls, harbor views, and mosaic-tile walls, reflect the history and look of the Swedish archipelago. The 1,400-square-meter spa, occupying two levels, is made up of eight treatment rooms and couple's suites, dry and wet treatment areas, an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, and yoga studio.
Treatments, stemming from Nordic heritage, combine tradition with modern techniques and facilities and include silt wraps, dry brushing, and baths infused with fresh flowers and herbs plucked from the nearby mountains. Other services include the signature Our Own Experiences, a medley of massage designed to soothe, balance, and renew; organic facials; acupuncture, chiropody, chiropractic, and body and lifestyle therapeutic sessions; body wraps and scrubs; and beauty services.

Rooms & Dining
Each of the 300 guest rooms and suites are unique in decor and furnishings and overlook the city, Royal Palace, harbor, and hotel courtyard. The art deco-inspired Princess Lilian's Suite, the largest of accommodations at 330 square meters, provides spectacular, 360-degree views of Stockholm. All rooms feature wireless high-speed Internet access, 24-hour room service, and minibars.
For dining options, there is the signature Mathias Dahlgren, a two Michelin star- and Matbaren star-awarded restaurant. The eatery offers two distinct dining areas — the Dining Room and the Food Bar — and a daily-changing menu of natural regional and international cuisine. Additional venues include the Veranda, which is the only Swedish restaurant to serve traditional smörgåsbord year-round; diners will also enjoy classic local fare à la carte. Cadier Bar, named for the hotel's founder, is a fashionable meeting spot for an aperitif or nightcap, as well as afternoon tea and weekend brunch.
