A-Skin Care Salon

These two Russian skin care proffesionals are not only beautiful, but they take they're time and make sure I am always well taken care of. They have serviced me literally from head to toe! They're pedicures and manicures are pure indulgence! They also wax my body parts to perfection! My eyebrows are never over done, but they look nice and masculine. Simply put, they are the best I have ever experienced in the business!

This spa (which in the past has received great reviews) moved from its space in Arlington, MA right into the heart of Harvard Square, inside a hair salon. The services were not administered in a private room but in a corner of the salon with "privacy" walls. No feeling of true privacy and certainly no spa-like quality of tranquility at all. The young esthetician I had seemed extremely inexperienced. Since I suffer from rosacea, it was not a difficult decision to go with the (expensive) Rosacea Facial and I also wanted to try the Decollete Treatment. During both treatments, I had to ask her to please be more gentle - she was using harsh washcloths to wipe my very hypersensitive face and chest. During the actual treatments, there was no massage - she literally slathered my face and chest, did some painful extractions and then cleaned me up. I was extremely disappointed by this whole experience and will never bother to go back to this "spa" again, particularly not with all the other wonderful options the Greater Boston area has to offer.

I’ve been a loyal customer of A-Skin Care salon for almost 3 years, and every time I get exactly the experience I wish for – great service, relaxing atmosphere, and quality products. Recently I have been going to Anya for pretty much everything, and she is amazing. Not only she is nice and pleasant to talk to as a person, but she is a great professional. Eyebrows are well-shaped, and I don’t have to tell her what I need, she just knows the shape that works best for me. Manicures are perfect and smooth, and after her facials my face is just glowing! Bikini wax is a separate story J Comparing to other salons I tried, when Anya does it, it never hurts and results are good J I definitely recommend A-Skin Care salon and Anya!

A-Skin Care Salon is my beauty oasis. I've been going to this place for the last five years getting my waxing, facials, manicure and pedicure there. I mostly see Svetlana and find her extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. She is an eyebrows wizard and definitely takes the time to figure out the right shape for everybody. Same with facials, Svetlana is passionate about figuring out the right treatment and products and has helped many of her clients get a much better complexion. My face feels amazing after her facials. She also once offered me a complimentary make-up session and I loved the result so much that I now look forward to some occasion when I'll need to have my make-up done professionally with her.Her daughter, Anya, has recently completed all the training and started working alongside Svetlana. I'm confident she's as great as Svetlana, because she's been getting the informal training since her childhood.The salon is extremely clean with such precautions as individual plastic bags being used during pedicures being taken. They also do a great job being creative with the seasonal window decorations and always having fresh flowers at the desk.I find the home-like and friendly atmosphere of the salon relaxing. It's true that you can hear other people's conversations when you are in one of the rooms, but it does not detract from my experience. Above all, I find the personal service that I get at the salon extremely valuable and it is very important to me to have found the place and people whom I can rely on for my beauty needs. Finding the A-Skin Care Salon has been a great quality of life enhancement for me and I highly recommend you try it!

I have been coming here for a couple of years now and will not trust anyone else with my eyebrows and with any body waxing. The staff is professional and friendly, but in a genuine, not the typical fake kind of way - they will make you feel right at home. The owner, Svetlana, has a wealth of knowledge so every treatment comes with an ongoing complementary consultation.For years I've had a problem with pimples on my lower back and bum and this was finally resolved with their New Skin Retexturizing Gel Renewal System.I love this place, wouldn't go anywhere else!

I found this salon through Spa Finder site, and my first visit was for Spa Week 2008. The salon itself is not a luxurious place, but it is clean with friendly staff. My facial was done by Svetlana, she was very knowledgeable. After my facial she gave me samples of products to try. I have fallowed her instruction, and the result was amazing. Lately I have received so many compliments from my friends and family.If you are looking for a great service and products at a reasonable price, you should try them. Especially Svetlana she is fantastic.
