Kali-Escrima is Filipino Stickfighting and is taught under the style of Grandmaster Snookie Sanchez who is an internationally known master of stickfighting and the bull whip. Ian Beltan and Erwin Legaspi have trained under the late Grandmaster Sanchez since 1990 and pass on his teaching and training methods to their students. Our style of Kali-Escrima is based on realism and effectiveness, but is taught in a very safe environment so anyone can learn this incredible martial art. Ian and Erwin are also black belts and Kajukempo and have been training a number of years in Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu so they have implemented their knowledge of the stand up and ground arts in to their style of Kali-Escrima to make it even more effective.

The instructor training class is where we will go over teaching techniques and go through teaching the beginner curriculum. This class will also be an advanced class and "Monster Lab" where the advanced students and instructors will trade techniques, analyze different techniques to see if we can improve on the technique(s), develop set ups and counters and build on that technique. This class is limited to purple belt and above students.

Kali-Escrima is Filipino Stickfighting and is taught under the style of Grandmaster Snookie Sanchez who is an internationally known master of stickfighting and the bull whip. Ian Beltan and Erwin Legaspi have trained under the late Grandmaster Sanchez since 1990 and pass on his teaching and training methods to their students. Our style of Kali-Escrima is based on realism and effectiveness, but is taught in a very safe environment so anyone can learn this incredible martial art. Ian and Erwin are also black belts and Kajukempo and have been training a number of years in Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu so they have implemented their knowledge of the stand up and ground arts in to their style of Kali-Escrima to make it even more effective.

The Army Combatives class will cover techniques utilized in the Army Combatives curriculum and will expand upon the program by incorporating Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Boxing/Kickboxing techniques. This class will help prepare you for the Army Combatives program or reinforce the techniques that you previously learned in a safe and professional environment. The class is taught by Chris Slavens, a retired, decorated Army National Guard war veteran, who is a Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Brown belt and multiple time state boxing champion and national boxing runner up. Chris is also one of our head boxing & kickboxing instructors.

Known as the sweet science, Boxing and Kickboxing are taught with extreme level of detail and cover all facets of stand up striking including punches, kicks, defense, knees, elbows, and clinching. All classes are taught by head instructors PJ Dean and Chris Slavens. PJ is a professional boxer, kickboxer, and mixed martial artist, and Chris has competed in the highest levels of amateur boxing which include the golden gloves and junior nationals. All instructors have different styles and teach you their styles in order for the student to have the ability to switch styles and techniques based on their sparring partner or opponent. Our school emphasizes defense as much as offense which many competitors lack and many instructors do not stress enough.
