Stretch your muscles while strengthening your core. Pilates mat is practiced on the floor (mat) and is designed to improve core control, coordination, standing alignment and balance with Pilates mat exercises. Pilates mat exercises are performed seated or while lying down on your back, side or front. Small props such as the foam roller, stability ball or rotating discs may be incorporated. Emphasis is on precise alignment, breathing and efficient sequencing of movement. Open level classes are offered on a drop-in basis space permitting.
