BOSU is an acronym for “both sides up”. The BOSU is a dome shaped apparatus that can be used with either the “dome side up” or the “platform side up”. The BOSU Balance Trainer is a unique addition to our balance, core stability and proprioception training at Romney. Our BOSU Introduction Class gives our guests an orientation to this new piece of equipment and includes movements for stabilization, balance and agility. This proves to be a challenging cardiovascular workout and may include some strength training with weights. This dynamic class is formatted to be more rhythmic in nature and may include walks, runs, leaps, hops, jump, lunges and various stepping patterns, jump rope. This class is a fun challenge! Group Reformer - BLAST
This non-impact 50-minute class will get your muscles shaking...literally! This is a total body lengthening and strengthening class that will meld together cardio, weight training and Pilates all in one. Prepare to take your traditional Pilates experience and reformer class to a new level! You will transition smoothly and continuously from move to move keeping your heart rate elevated while you completely exhaust each muscle group. You will perform the moves at a super slow pace, working your slow twitch muscles fibers that will help you burn more fat calories than any other type of exercise. This class is suitable for all levels (class not recommended for clients with major injuries or needing extreme modifications) but since you will be continuously moving we recommend trying a private BLAST prep session with one of our instructors to see if the group pace is suitable. This is a total body lengthening and strengthening class that will meld together cardio, weight training and Pilates all in one. Prepare to take your traditional Pilates experience and reformer class to a new level! You will transition smoothly and continuously from move to move keeping your heart rate elevated while you completely exhaust each muscle group. You will perform the moves at a super slow pace, working your slow twitch muscles fibers that will help you burn more fat calories than any other type of exercise. This class is suitable for all levels (class not recommended for clients with major injuries or needing extreme modifications) but since you will be continuously moving we recommend trying a private BLAST prep session with one of our instructors to see if the group pace is suitable. Since the moves are performed slowly you will be able to be corrected for poor form easier than in a faster mov |

Yin release is the ultimate class for increased flexibility, range of motion and release for tonic/tight muscles. BOSU is an acronym for “both sides up”. The BOSU is a dome shaped apparatus that can be used with either the “dome side up” or the “platform side up”. The BOSU Balance Trainer is a unique addition to our balance, core stability and proprioception training at Romney. Our BOSU Introduction Class gives our guests an orientation to this new piece of equipment and includes movements for stabilization, balance and agility. This proves to be a challenging cardiovascular workout and may include some strength training with weights. This dynamic class is formatted to be more rhythmic in nature and may include walks, runs, leaps, hops, jump, lunges and various stepping patterns, jump rope. This class is a fun challenge!
