Stroller Moves (with baby)

Our Stroller Moves® class is a fantastic class for moms and babies. Depending on rain and weather, the class will either take place outside (StrollerMoves®) or inside (Momilates®). All moms should report to the studio at 335 River Street 10 minutes prior to class. If the temperature is above 50 and not raining, the class will then resume outside. STROLLERS are needed! Stroller Moves® is designed to help moms lose weight and gain muscle tone without the need for child care. Prenatal Pilates (mat based)

Bella Bellies® Prenatal Pilates Mat (mat based)This class integrates Pilates exercises and Yoga-based stretches for a renewed sense of strength and well-being. The class includes modifications appropriate for each trimester and fitness level, thereby challenging and motivating women at any stage in their pregnancy. The class will focus on exercising the muscles, which tend to weaken during pregnancy while stretching the muscles that tend to tighten during pregnancy. An additional emphasis will stress the importance of proper core conditioning to prevent over-stretching and widening of the abdominal muscles. Pre Natal Pilates is an extremely safe and effective exercise to practice throughout the entire pregnancy. Intro Group Reformer

A small group reformer class of up to 4 students using the spring coil resistance of the Pilates Reformer. Expect to work every major muscle group in your body during this Introduction to Apparatus class at Renaissance. Arms, legs, buns and ABS are toned and strengthened while muscles are lengthened. This intro level class is designed for the beginner Apparatus student. (with or without Pilates mat experience) The student will learn the fundamentals and principles of Pilates, be taught how to navigate the apparatus and learn to accomplish the essential level repertoire. At least 5 Intro Reformer/Chair level classes are required before entering into the Group Reformer/Chair 'Intermediate' classes. Sign up policy is mandatory for Group Reformer classes. CORE Mat Hand Held Minis ** a Renaissance favorite

Want to become ABSolutely addicted to pilates mat work? Then join the fun in our popular 'minis or no minis' mat class that will incorporate a 1, 2 or 3 lb. hand held weighted  MINI hand weights. Emphasis is on shoulders, arms and abdominals throughout. This class can be easily modified for a student who chooses not to use the weights. Pre Natal Group Reformer/Chair

Pre Natal Pilates is an extremely safe and effective exercise to practice throughout the entire pregnancy. Doctors are now highly recommending that women practice pilates throughout each trimester to help maintain overall core and pelvic floor strength. Our team of instructors are Pre Natal certified and are trained to meet the needs of healthy pregnant women. Pre Natal Pilates helps to build and maintain overall core strength while placing an emphasis on major muscle groups including the low/mid/upper back, arms and legs and buttocks. Pre Natal Pilates also focuses on pelvic floor engagement as well as balance and stability. Renaissance Pilates offers Pre Natal group Reformer and Stability Chair (up to 4 students) per class on both apparatus. The use of small props may be used to help diversify the session. Intermediate Group Reformer/StabilityChair

A small group (up to 4 students) combination Reformer and Stability Chair workout all in one. Gain the benefits of both pieces of Apparatus in this Intermediate level class by using the spring coil resistance of the Pilates Reformer and the multifunctional dual split pedal Stability Chair.  All major muscle groups will be worked and sculpted, including arms, back,legs, bum and ABS.  The combination workout allows the student to work in more various positions, thus enhancing the diversity of the overall workout.  Previous Pilates mat or Reformer Intro experience necessary prior to attending. Sign up policy is mandatory for Chair and Group Reformer classes.
