• About The Pilates Principle

    Our studio provides a venue in which you can feel confident that you're exercising "smart," under highly educated instruction. The studio is owned, and the staff is led by a physical therapist, Nuhar Jaleel. Nuhar is certified in Pilates and GYROTONIC exercise, and the staff of 18 instructors are all fully-certified in their respective exercise methods. The current studio was custom-built in 2007, but the business has been established since 2003. Both the Pilates and the GYROTONIC studio are fully-equipped. Group classes at the beginner and intermediate level are offered in both Pilates and GYROTONIC exercise. Private and semi-private instruction is available in Pilates and Gyrotonic exercise. We also offer group classes such as Feldenkrais Method, Ashtanga Yoga, Prenatal Feldenkrais, and MELT Method.

Intermediate Pilates Tower - $25/$21

This class utilizes the apparatus called the "tower" or "wall unit."  This class will entail several traditional Pilates mat exercises, along with spring resistance giving the participant a balanced, whole-body workout. Arm springs, leg springs, roll-down bar, and push-through bar will be utilized in each class.

Intermediate GYROTONIC Class

This class will be conducted using the GYROTONIC pulley tower and is geared toward people with some GYROTONIC experience. Exercises and movements are slightly more advanced than the beginner level, with more focus on flow, timing, and increased pace. Some GYROTONIC Level 2 exercises will be taught.
