    At Smiling Dog Yoga, we present 30+ yoga classes each week in a variety of styles to serve the different needs of people of all ages and from all walks of life. It is our desire that each individual practice in his or her own way so that everyone will live a long, happy life, comfortable in their own skin and free from injury and pain. Yes, yoga can help you do this. More than just a yoga studio, although yoga is the proverbial backbone of our business, Smiling Dog is also a vegetarian lunch cafe, massage therapy and acupuncture center, as well as a unique eco-conscious boutique. We hope you’ll drop-in and experience the community of Smiling Dog in person. We live in difficult times, times of crisis, times of intense distractions, times of stress, and it seems that Yoga is finding such relevance in our times because it offers teachings that help to ground us in our physical and psychological reality and techniques that catalyze growth and evolution. In yoga, we find brilliant and yet simple practices to revitalize our ever-changing body, to heal our wounds and injuries, to purify our nervous system, to rest our mind and to enjoy greater energy and better health. Whomever practices yoga will be enlivened in his or her own way: this is what we stand by at Smiling Dog. Practicing Yoga appropriately and respectfully can help all of us live more conscious lives and transform our world today.

Initial Visit

The initial acupuncture visit involves completing a brief questionnaire, clinical exam and a computer diagnostic assessment of the health and balance of your qi and meridian system. Treatment begins with an auricular treatment using electric stimulation, followed by needle body acupuncture, addressing specific complaints and overall meridian rebalancing and qi restoration. Traditional Chinese herbal remedies will also be recommended.
