• About On the Mat Yoga

    On the Mat welcomes students of all levels. We focus our efforts on the fundamentals of posture, breath work, and vinyasa flow. Our students develop a strong foundation on which to build a deeper yoga practice. Attention to alignment ensures a safe environment with modifications offered for students of varying levels. Classes are conducted in a heated room with length varying from 75 to 90 minutes. Master Classes are generally two hours. Yoga Fundamentals is a slower paced class emphasizing the foundations of a strong asana practice.

Prenatal Yoga

This class will feature a strong, slow, mindful vinyasa flow for expectant mothers, offering modifications to support each stage of pregnancy. Vinyasa flow yoga pairs movements that build strength and confidence with breath-work that calms and clears the mind. This combination is perfect for helping to prepare women for the physical and mental demands of pregnancy and childbirth. Restorative postures and Savasana will be offered at the end of class to relax and renew. Prenatal yoga offers a supportive environment for pregnant women and is designed to take into consideration that now there are “two” on the mat. All levels of yoga practice are welcome.
