The practice, often called the Pilates method, is meant to improve mental and physical wellbeing, increase flexibility, and strengthen muscles through a series of controlled movements and breathing that engage both the body and mind. We are now adding the Reformer Tower system to this class to help stabilize and strengthen the spine.

Cardio Springs

Come workout on the Reformer in a way you've never done. Feel what Pilates refers to as the *internal shower* in this high intensity cardio workout that includes all the elements of Pilates:flowing movement, breathing, concentration, centering, precision, and breath. The first half of the class will get the heart rate up and the core engaged, and then we will use the springs to stretch. That's why Pilates works: it strengthens and stretches the muscles. Apprenticeship Lecture Series Q3

Quarter 3 in the Apprenticeship Lecture Series will cover Intermediate Cadillac with an introduction to the more Advanced exercises. Anatomy will be reviewed in more detail to prepare for the February pre-test for the PMA exam. Reformer Level IV-V will be looked at in-depth as well as Intermediate/Advanced Low Chair. A Focus on the fundamentals in all of the advanced exercises will be highlighted. Preparation for the Practice Teaching Review. A special workshop will also be presented this quarter.
