    Welcome to Liberation Yoga and Wellness Center located in Mahopac, NY at 862 Rt 6. It is our mission to bring healing, empowerment, and liberation to the body, mind, and spirit. 

    YOGA

    Our yoga classes are designed to help restore the body to its natural state of health, developing strength and flexibility through a series of creatively sequenced postures. Whether you've never taken a Yoga class before or already have a strong practice, at Liberation Yoga you'll find classes at your level that are challenging, fun, and enlightening. A regular yoga practice helps develop strength and flexibility, bringing the body into greater overall health. Consistent Yoga practice helps to prevent heart attacks, stroke, respiratory problems, can slow the onset of aging, and perhaps most importantly makes you feel great throughout your day.

    Our studio is a peaceful space intended to facilitate deep relaxation and stress relief. A steady Yoga practice helps to release both physical and mental tension, clearing the mind and calming the heart. Beyond the physical practice of the asanas, Liberation offers instruction in pranayama (yogic breathing), meditation, and philosophy, taught with humor and compassion in an environment free of dogma, judgment, and pressure. Engage not only your body but your mind at our meditation classes, workshops, or even just good conversation around the studio.

    Above all else, Yoga is a continual process of transformation. Whether you're looking to transform your body or your mind, Liberation is a community-oriented refuge dedicated to helping you fulfill your goals. If you're one of countless individuals working to free yourself from unwanted or out-grown habits or uncovering your own inner truth, Liberation will offer tools for self-discovery, and keys for healthy, mindful living. We believe that the desire for freedom is innate in mankind and that as we struggle to free ourselves from unhealthy habits, dependencies, and patterns, Yoga always has something new to teach us. Liberation Yoga is founded on the belief that every human being can and should be free.

    Massage and Bodywork

    Every day, countless pressures and responsibilities compete for our attention and our time. Our fast-paced culture brings us numerous opportunities, but brings with it a cost to our health. Our minds become strained, emotions frayed, and our spirits diminished and dull. Our bodies bear a large portion of this burden, storing stress and trauma through muscular tension, or manifesting emotional blockages through disease and chronic pain. The body is a miraculous thing. Its ability to heal itself is well documented by the medical community, but it can also do itself harm through the mind's neglect. Many of us become disconnected from our body, and suffer needlessly. Massage therapy and bodywork can not only release the stress of everyday life, but can also work to release long-stored stress-patterns that can cause chronic pain or other ailments. Working with a skilled massage therapist at Liberation Wellness Center, our clients take the time to reconnect with their bodies, allowing genuine healing to begin. Our skilled therapists work to remove the stress-caused blocks in the physical as well as energetic body, releasing muscle tension, and by deep relaxation, clearing the mental fog that stress can accumulate. Liberate your body, and your mind will follow.

Facilities & Amenities

Built with love and intention, our facility is a destination, designed to bring you back to your center. The lobby’s walls are saturated with warm yellows and reds, and you are enveloped in a friendly and welcoming energy the moment you walk in the door.

Our main yoga studio is 1500 square feet, surrounded by windows to let in lots of natural light, and able to accommodate upwards of 30 students at a time. Our open and airy yoga space is bright and colorful, which not only inspires creativity in our teachers, but also leaves our students with uplifted spirits.    

Our facility also contains two massage rooms. Warm and cozy, our therapy rooms will encourage you to relax, release physical tension from your body and find bliss. 

Liberation also offers a cozy room used solely for meditation and reflection. Open to all those looking for a moment to gather their thoughts and energy, this quiet room is there to help you find your inner peace.

Warm and inviting, fun and exciting, peaceful and calm, the center offers you what you need to get away from the stress of your daily life.
