Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga is becoming more popular than ever. It's origins began in 1974 with Yogiraj Bikram Choudhury, the founder of this style of yoga. The focus is the repetition of 26 poses, beginning and ending with 2 specific pranayama (breathing) practices, put in a specific order and done in a room that is 80-105 degrees fahenheit. The order of these poses is designed to systematically move fresh, oxygenated blood too all organs and fibers of the body, restoring all systems to their healthiest working order. This, in turn, brings about a healthy body weight, muscle tone and an over-all very healthy, detoxified body. It can be practiced by beginners to advanced yoga practitioners and modifications are given for those that need them. For class, bring a bottle of water and a large bath size towel.  Do not eat anything heavy for 2 hours before class and dress lightly!
