About Source Yoga
Melissa Paz and Erin Joosse founded Source Yoga in 2005. They have been working together since 1998, when they were Modern Dance students at the University of New Mexico. Both have been practicing yoga for years and teaching for almost a decade, focusing on a basic, flowing style of hatha yoga, and mindful awareness. They are committed to offering the community the gift of a relaxed body, a joyful spirit, and a quiet mind through yoga practice. Through the physical practice of asana (postures), pranayama (breathing practices), and meditation in our classes, you will begin to access the whole of yoga. Through classes, workshops, retreats, and discussion groups, Source Yoga provides a space to discover the Eight Limbs of Yoga and most importantly, to discover your true, radiant Self.Location

The poses are presented with many modifications, making the class appealing to anyone with moderate physical, medical or age-related challenges. Emphasis will be on improving balance; developing conscious breathing; cultivating strength and flexibility; and calming the mind. Ideal for seniors, individuals with MS, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia, or those transitioning from illness/injury/surgery or a sedentary lifestyle. |
