This is a gentle class focusing on rejuvenating and healing the body through breath and gentle movement. Yoga props such as blankets, blocks, bolsters, chairs and straps are used for safe practice, and to allow the body to fully achieve each position comfortably. Kripalu Gentle Yoga
The focus is an introduction to basic yoga poses & healthy alignment. Here you will practice standing asana postures such as Mountain, Warrior, Triangle and Downward Facing Dog as well as seated and supine postures. This class also includes yogic breathing, meditation, and relaxation techniques - great for stress relief and overall relaxation. Appropriate modifications are given to accommodate students with chronic symptoms such as muscle or joint pain, stiffness, weakness or fatigue. This class will give you an overall feeling of well-being as well as calm the mind. |
