I had a very disappointing time with Riviera Day Spa. My girlfriend bought us a couples massage one weekend. The jacuzzi time was amazing, sweet chapagne, strawberries and cream and a nice hot jacuzzi. Once we were done it was time for the massage. We had one female and one male masseuse- David. The male was the issue we had. I have knots in my back that are hard to get out, so I chose the male. At different intervals i looked up and he was staring at my girlfriend. I was getting pretty annoyed with this. I kept shifting and coughing to get his attention. When it was time for my girlfriend to flip over to her back, her masseuse lifted the cover to give her room. Unfortunatley this gave David a full view of her breasts as she turned over. I noticed this when his hands stopped for a few seconds. I didnt want to say anything at the time, my girlfriend spent a lot of money to relax us. I was pretty furious at this point. I spoke to a spa manager and was told that my concerns would be brought up to the owner. I was given the run around a few times, told i would be called the next day with no results. Finally, they called to tell me they were sorry it happened, and that everyone was going to be retrained on coverings. I asked about the fact he was completely unprofessional and was acting in a manner unbefitting of a company claiming to have a "christain mindset". They glossed over it and repeated over and over that they were sorry and they were being retrained in covering. I asked to speak to the owners themselves. I was told they would call me later, its been two weeks. This place was a lie from the start. There is no christian mindset here. In a business where a person is trusted witht he csustomer in a manner that a massage is, there has to be a high level of professionalism. I have had massages before and have never had any unprofessional occurences like this. The masseuses name was David, I would strongly suggest you take another time if he happens to be assigned to you. The ability of the staff to redirect and give you the run around was frustrating. They honestly dont care once they have your money. I wasnt even offered a partial refund for the services rendered. After finding out what happened my girlfriend was shocked and pretty disturbed. She felt that something should have happened to someone who would violate the trust between a customer and a masseuse like that. I will be deterring everyone I know from this place. There are other places that have a larger emphasis on professionalism in this city. I will definitley NEVER go here again.

At Riviera Salon & Day Spa we take all complaints very seriously. Regarding this complaint in particular, prior to the massage when the male guest exhibited signs of being uncomfortable with a male massage therapist in the room we promptly offered to have two female massage therapists perform the couples massage, however this option was declined. We have also completed our own in house inquiry on the complaint and found that it is almost impossible to see where anyone is looking while lying on a massage table in a room as dimly lit as the suite is when a massage is being performed and we also questioned all the female massage therapists that have worked with David in couples massages in the past and not one of them had ever witnessed him being unprofessional. Additionally, we have never been contacted by the client herself who is the person in question about whom this complaint has been made. None the less, both massage therapists in the room were met with and we have gone over all procedures. To speak on David’s behalf, we have never had a complaint about him up until this point and he has performed numerous massages both couple and single. Many of us here use him as our own massage therapist and confidently recommend him to friends and family who have also used him. So in response to you wanting his termination we do not feel that it is fair when his past indicates nothing of this manner and his colleague in the same room who is a woman did not see anything of this nature. We had multiple phone conversations with the gentleman who placed the complaint explaining the measures that had been taken. However, he replied that we were not sorry nor Christian and the owners chose not to respond to him when such accusations were made. In the past when there has been any evidence of unprofessional behavior we have swiftly terminated the employee at fault and would do the same if this were the case On a final note, on our faith there is only one person who can judge our hearts and intentions and He is not here on Earth. Once again I am sorry you felt this way after leaving we want everyone who comes to Riviera to enjoy their time and leave relaxed and we have done everything we can at this point to be proactive in preventing anyone from feeling uncomfortable.

I had a spa finder gift card and picked to go to Riviera Salon and Day Spa. It is a beautiful place but the service was horrible. I had an hour massage and my massage therapist coughed/sneezed the whole time, she had to stop and get tissues throughout the whole massage. I was then supposed to get a facial but at the last minute the lady I was scheduled had to leave. I went ahead and rescheduled days later and they called an hour prior and cancelled me again. I would not go back! When I payed with my spa finder they did not know what to do, so days later I had to go back to get the difference on their gift card. I will never use their gift card!!!

We work very hard to provide a beautiful,serene atmosphere for our guests. Thank You for taking the time to tell us why our service failed to meet your expectations. We value each and every one of our guests and have addressed your valid concerns with all of our staff. We understand your frustration and have further trained our newer Front Desk associates in Spa- Finders policy's and procedures. The staff is aware that it is Spa finders policy to have spa's re-issue any remaining money on a gift card. In addition, It has been made clear to all of our staff that they must treat their allergies to prevent symptoms or not take clients for the day. We have also hired another esthetician so we are ready and able to provide excellent service to our guests, especially when another provider has an emergency. We hope you may be gracious enough to allow us the chance to restore your confidence in us. Once again, Thank You for your honest feedback and we hope we have the pleasure of serving you again.

I've been going to Riviera for a variety of services for a long time and I've never had a bad experience. They are very nice and treat me like a queen! They're massage therapists are very professional and have helped me with my back pain. I've also gotten several pedicures and facials. Also the building and the decor are really beautiful.

I just caught my husband cheating and we're getting a divorce. I thought " Gee, I need a make-over!". So i went over to Riviera Day Spa and I look sooooo good. Morgan cut and colored my hair, and I feel like a new woman. Come on men!

I do not recommend the Riviera Day Spa. I took my mom there for a late mothers day present...they discussed money 3 times after being told it was a present to my mom and NOT to discuss money! They treated me like I was an idiot and were rude when asked questions! My massage therapist talked then entire time and was AWFUL...my neck is still messed up 12 days later from my so called deep tissue massage. I have an appointment tomorrow to see a chiropractor to see what she did to me. Her name was Summer, but I wouldn't see anyone there. Will NOT go back!!! Worst spa experience of my life and I have had my fair share.

I have been nothing but impressed with this spa. They are professional, provide an extremely relaxing atmosphere and excellent service. I have gone once a month for massages and have been spoiled to say the least. I also get my hair cut there and the beautician told me exactly what products would work well on my hair and she's saved me a ton of money. I was spending so much money on pricey hair products that didn't work well and weren't right for my hair. She told me of 3 products (that they don't even sell at their facility) and I've been able to cut out all the other products I was using. I have a shampoo, conditioner and 1 spray I use now. All totalling $40 combined, which is what 1 product used to cost me and I was buying tons of them. My hair looks awesome everyday now and I have her to thank! Best spa ever!

I was really excited when I received a gift card to Riviera Day Spa and couldn't wait to use it. Once I got there I was all ready for a relaxing, enjoyable experience...but that's not how it went at all. When I got in my room and ready for my massage all I could hear was talking. I saw the people that were doing the talking when I walked in (they were in this little room behind the desk) but didn't think anything of it until I was in my room and couldn't even relax because of them. The last 5 minutes of my massage it finally got quiet. Ugh. Then when I went to check out they didn't even take my gift card, even though it was for the service I received...I don't understand?? I had to pay an additional $10! I don't know why?? Needless to say I was pretty disappointed. It was a very beautiful atmosphere, but maybe I had my hopes to high. I thought it was going to be a great experience. : /

I have been to Riviera Day Spa on several occasions and every time I have the most awful experience. Even though they have a beautiful location, that does not make up for how my family/friends and I have been treated when we go there. The staff is rude and talks down to you. I felt that the services I received were not at all worth the outragous price that I paid for them, yet every time they badgered me about upgrading. I even spoke with the owners one time, not to be "that person", but just to let them know some things that were going on at their spa...and they were even rude to me! I was so shocked. They basically told me that if I wasn't happy, I needed to take my business else where. - That's exactly what I did. I now have a membership at a competing spa and go there as much as I can. I will never go back to Riviera Day Spa and would not recommend it to anyone.

I've been a couple of times for other services (massages and facials mainly) and was very pleased with the service. Wonderful atmosphere; left feeing soo refreshed. I decided to get my nails fill there - horrible job. I thought maybe it was just the fact that they had been put on and filled at another salon. I soaked them off and got new tips/overlays on them. They looked awful! You could see where the tips were glued on my nails and they started to lift after a week. I would not recommend getting your nails done there at all!!
The spa does have some great amenities - the saltwater pool is awesome!!!
