    Directed by Colleen Saidman, Yoga Shanti is a full-time, year-round, East End Yoga studio in the Hamptons, offering opportunities for every kind of student, and a multitude of different yoga classes. Our beautiful Lakshmi studio is located at 32 Bridge Street, adjacent to the Town Parking Lot behind Shiavoni's, both in the heart of Sag Harbor.

Kundalini Yoga

Known as the "Yoga of Awareness," kundalini yoga aims to strengthen the nervous system, balance the endocrine system, and stimulate the various aspects of yogic subtle anatomy in order to bring about heightened states of awareness. The practice of kundalini yoga utilizes all aspects of yogic practice, including breathing techniques, physical exercises, mantras, and meditation. While there is some overlap with hatha, Iyengar, and other styles of yoga, kundalini yoga is a unique and somewhat different system of practice.In the kundalini yoga class offered at Yoga Shanti, you will be led through a series of dynamic and repetitive movements, punctuated by periods of silence and meditation. The goal of this practice is to generate and stabilize a state of shuniya, which means "zero" in Sanskrit, referring to a state of inner silence. We hope you will join us at this fun and challenging new class.
