Beginner/Intermediate Pilates Mat with Props
Mat work is the foundation of Pilates. Mat exercises are performed unassisted (without spring resistance) to strengthen core muscles. Pilates Mat + classes teach fundamental mat exercises and will incorporate props and other pieces of Pilates apparatus to enhance students’ understanding of mat work. This class builds on basic Pilates concepts and choreography and moves at a faster pace than the Beginner class. Students must have a good understanding of basic Pilates concepts, including the names of the Beginner level exercises and transitions from one exercise to the next, and appropriate modifications for their own individual needs, before taking a Beginner/ Intermediate class. |
