• About Groove Yoga

    Groove Yoga was created with a simple purpose: to give you a place to practice an athletic, flowing style of yoga throughout the day, every day, with some of the Bay Area’s finest teachers. And it shows : we were voted Best Yoga in the East Bay 2011 by the East Bay Express! You can choose from over 30 heated and unheated classes each week taught by our experienced teachers. Each class is an expression of the individual teacher and the people in the room, guided by tradition but in no way bound by it. We’ve built a safe environment for you to challenge your body while quieting your mind and nurturing your soul.We offer a variety of weekend workshops and local and international retreats. You will find us conveniently located in downtown Berkeley, just 3 blocks from the BART station. There is street parking, a parking garage around the corner from the studio, and plenty of bike racks. Inside you will find one large clean studio with bamboo floors, a lobby with private changing rooms, restrooms and a seating area. After class, relax in the lobby and enjoy lemon water or hot tea at our drink station. We also have a small retail area offering yoga clothes, mats and accessories. The studio was built using sustainable, non-toxic materials.
